Common cranes visit the Inn River

From time to time during bird migration Cranes visit the Inn River or other Spots in Austria when they fly to their breeding spots in North Germany at the Baltic Sea. As a Photographer you need to have luck that they land and stay on a spot nearby before they fly further north or South depending on the time of the year. When they fly north in Spring they are sometimes exhausted after their flight either east or west of the Alps. The cranes feed on plants and berries and they often like the Cranberries that are named after the bird. I had the luck that they where resting at the wetlands of the Inn River and first we didn't see them since they blended in the grey part of the plants quite good but on a second look I discovered that these birds were resting there in the shallow water. When they flew away just some minutes later I could also take some in flight pictures of these birds.
