Good evening friends, may God bless you, today I share with you a passage from the sacred scriptures where believers are urged to live with discipline and determination in our faith, knowing that there is an eternal reward waiting for us and that it is necessary to fight and persevere to get it.

Don't you know that those who run in the stadium actually all run, but only one takes the prize? Run in such a way that you obtain it. Everyone who fights abstains from everything; They, indeed, to receive a corruptible crown, but we, an incorruptible one. So, I run in this way, not as if at random; In this way I fight, not as one who strikes the air, but I strike my body, and put it into bondage, lest, having been a herald to others, I myself should come to be destroyed.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

The author in this passage uses the analogy of sports to convey a spiritual message about the importance of discipline and perseverance in the Christian life.

First of all, the Christian life is compared to a race in a stadium, where everyone runs, but only one receives the prize. This illustrates that although all believers participate in the race of faith, not all will reach the final reward. The exhortation is to run in such a way as to obtain the prize, which implies dedication, effort and determination.

Then, they talk about spiritual struggle and the need for self-control. It is mentioned that those who participate in athletic competition abstain from certain things to achieve a crown that eventually becomes corrupted. However, believers strive for an incorruptible crown, that is, an eternal reward in the kingdom of God.

The apostle Paul, who wrote these words, expresses that he himself lives this way: with determination and self-control. He does not run aimlessly or fight without a clear objective. Rather, he disciplines his body and mind to avoid being disqualified after preaching to others.

Buenas noches amigos, que Dios les bendiga, hoy les comparto un pasaje de las sagradas escrituras donde se nos insta a los creyentes a vivir con disciplina y determinación en nuestra fe, sabiendo que hay una recompensa eterna esperándonos y que es necesario luchar y perseverar para obtenerla.

¿No sabéis que los que corren en el estadio, todos a la verdad corren, pero uno solo se lleva el premio? Corred de tal manera que lo obtengáis. Todo aquel que lucha, de todo se abstiene; ellos, a la verdad, para recibir una corona corruptible, pero nosotros, una incorruptible. Así que, yo de esta manera corro, no como a la ventura; de esta manera peleo, no como quien golpea el aire, sino que golpeo mi cuerpo, y lo pongo en servidumbre, no sea que habiendo sido heraldo para otros, yo mismo venga a ser eliminado.
