Becky Lynch versus Liv Morgan on WWE Raw, last night, held me glued to my screen. Let me state what I think about the events that went down there.
First things first, Michael Cole hyped up the atmosphere by mentioning the seventh consecutive television sellout with 13,009 fans in attendance. That’s impressive; must have been an electrical atmosphere.
Liv Morgan came out strong but made a mistake on her suicide dive. Nonetheless she redeemed herself while Becky Lynch was high in mid air using amazing code-breaker. What a way of turning misfortune into fortune.
Michael Cole hinted something with his subtle allusions concerning Liv Morgan’s potential change to heel status.
According to him, she had this wild look and it added some sort of complexity or suspense to her character development. One of the most exciting things is when a wrestler changes his or her personality over time.
Lynch and Morgan displayed their talent, which made the match tense. The sunset flip bomb by Morgan went down as one of the unforgettable moments in that event with “this is awesome” chants.
Having said that let’s discuss Lynch’s manhandle slam of Morgan, a typically heel inducing move but surprisingly this time he got cheered for it.
Wrestling fans can be so unpredictable just like many other professional wrestling followers who did not know whether to cheer for the good guys or root against them.
Lastly, Becky Lynch won calming my worries about a potential Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania for the WWE Women’s World Championship. I am relieved that there is a forward motion in this storyline which holds me tight into it.
Nevertheless, that is not all there was to it. This made the Rhea Ripley’s confrontation with Lynch all the more interesting. If Morgan vowed to destroy everything for Ripley, then began a great enmity.
Lynch’s heel promo was effectively done and got the crowd cheering. The words struck home implying a string of matches by Lynch just to perfect her strategy on how she can lose to Ripley.
These two wrestlers’ dynamics are building towards an amazing fight.
Lynch’s response, however, was typical of her; she simply expressed confidence in herself. It makes me wonder if Becky Lynch should become a heel at some point or another.
Her defiance against adversity adds gravitas to her character.
Conclusively, the match between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan became a roller-coaster ride of emotions. In every moment I was on tenterhooks, from the high flying moves to the fierce promos.
I will be looking forward to witnessing how this story develops until WrestleMania arrives. Wrestling is truly an art and nights like these make me remember why I am a fan.
