Looking down the nosedive out at Mount Mansfield and the Stowe Mountain Ski Resort.
Mount Mansfield is the highest peak in Vermont, and the pinnacle of East Coast skiing and snowboarding. I took advantage of this beautiful early morning to hit the slopes before the crowds gathered, and was greeted with some wonderful views. A fresh scattering of snow fell over night, lending even more beauty to the high elevation areas.
We havn't had much snow here lately, so I'll take what I can get. Another fun day on the slopes.
An entire chair to myself... getting those uncrowded early runs.
The unusual clouds and the fresh snow really made a beautiful landscape high atop the mountains here in Vermont this morning.
At the top of the Gondola you can find this 'Stowe' sign.
And at the bottom you can find a sweet outdoor hot tub. This reminded me of my time in Japan, where everyone soaks in the Onsen at the bottom of the slopes.
Stunning views from the morning.
