I’ve been watching WWE RAW this week and something big happened- they split up some of the famous tag teams! It got me thinking about what it means for these wrestlers and the shows.
To begin with, let us discuss The Creed Brothers.
Come on, they lost hardly to DIY; however, their emotional promo caught my attention most. I felt sorry for them. Even though they gave everything into it sometimes wrestling just does not go your way at all.
Next is The Alpha Academy; they have announced that they are NXT bound. That’s a huge step.
I wonder how well they will perform there. It is like starting afresh in a new place which can be exciting but also kind of scary.
Akira Tozawa and Otis should not be forgotten. The two however lost to The New Day and later they stated that they wanted a new beginning in NXT.
I understand this, sometimes you have to do things differently in order to regain your path.
However, this isn't the case for everyone as far as the NXT is concerned. Maxxine Dupri was not together with her group while they were on RAW and Chad Gable seems preoccupied with something else now. It is like life has taken a different turn for them.
Maxxine Dupri could remain in RAW to conclude her storyline with Candice LeRae; it is logical. You must complete unfinished business first before proceeding forward.
And Chad Gable? For him, it’s Intercontinental Title that he will be after. Go get’em! Dude has ambitions for his career and I appreciate that.
Generally, breaking up these teams is a courageous move by WWE. This way, the company keeps things interesting while allowing every fighter to make a name on their own.
However, following them splitting seems depressing but who knows what new doors lie ahead of them?
I’ll be closely watching how things pan out. Wrestling is full of surprises and this is definitely one of them. Can’t wait to see what's next
