La calle del gato, acuarela sobre cartón reciclado ♻️ / The cat's street, watercolor on recycled cardboard ♻️

Saludos hivers y bienvenidos a mi blog. Reciclar es una de las actividades que más me gusta practicar, trato de reciclar todo lo que puedo y una de las cosas que más me gusta reutilizar es el cartón. El otro día estaba ordenando la bolsa donde tengo todos los cartones que voy guardando y se me ocurrió que podría utilizar una parte de ellos para hacer mis pinturas en acuarela.

Hello hivers and welcome to my blog. Recycling is one of the activities that I like to practice the most, I try to recycle everything I can and one of the things that I like to reuse the most is cardboard. The other day I was organizing the bag where I have all the cardboard that I keep and it occurred to me that I could use a part of them to make my watercolor paintings.

Soy apenas una aprendiz con la acuarela, es una técnica que ofrece muchas opciones y unos resultados muy hermosos aunque no es tan fácil como pueda aparentar, pero ya sabemos que con práctica y disciplina todo se puede aprender y sólo el tiempo dirá que tantas cualidades tenemos o no para esto jajaja 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I'm just an apprentice with watercolor, it's a technique that offers many options and very beautiful results although it isn't as easy as it may seem, but we already know that with practice and discipline everything can be learned and only time will tell how many qualities we have or not for this hahaha 🤷🏻‍♀️.

El cartón es un material que se adapta bien a la acuarela ya que absorbe el agua y no se dobla como la cartulina normal, recordemos que para la acuarela se recomienda usar papel de 200 gr en adelante. Bueno, para esta primera pintura, que a la vez sirvió como experimento, usé la caja de una pasta dental jejeje. Acompáñenme y les muestro el proceso creativo 😉.

Cardboard is a material that adapts well to watercolor since it absorbs water and doesn't bend like normal cardboard. Remember that for watercolor it's recommended to use paper of 200 g or more. Well, for this first painting, which also served as an experiment, I used a toothpaste box hehehe. Come with me and I'll show you the creative process 😉.

Hice el boceto con un lápiz, en esta ocasión dibujé un hermoso gato que está parado en una calle mirando algo que le llamó la atención.

I made the sketch with a pencil, this time I drew a beautiful cat that is standing on a street looking at something that caught its attention.

Este cartón está en estado crudo por lo que usé bastante el color blanco para pintar la pared y el piso de la calle. Por otro lado empecé a darle color al gato con el amarillo y el azul.

This cardboard is in a raw state so I used the white color a lot to paint the wall and the floor of the street. On the other hand, I started to color the cat with yellow and blue.

Agregué sombras al gato con colores más oscuros y también hice los detalles de la pared y del piso.

I added shadows to the cat with darker colors and also did the wall and floor details.

Este es un gato naranja atigrado así que le agregué algunas rayas en tono marrón, un verde intenso para el ojo y con corrector o typex le hice un punto de luz en la mirada, los bigotes los hice con un lápiz blanco. El gato se veía bien así pero se me ocurrió hacerlo un poquito más peludo y creo que lo eché a perder 🙄🥴🤦🏻‍♀️ jajaja, pero no importa, se aprende más de los errores que de los aciertos 😉.

This is an orange tabby cat so I added some brown stripes, a deep green for the eye and with typex I put a point of light in his eyes, I did the whiskers with a white pencil. The cat looked good like that but it occurred to me to make it a little hairier and I think I ruined it 🙄🥴🤦🏻‍♀️ hahaha, but it doesn't matter, you learn more from mistakes than from successes 😉.

Y este es el resultado final. Los gatos son seres misteriosos, nos observan con su penetrante mirada y con esos ojos que a veces esconden el cielo, a veces el bosque y a veces el sol. Son hermosos, independientes, inalcanzables, bien lo dijo el gran Leonardo Da Vinci, "Los gatos son pequeñas obras de arte en movimiento", palabras de un genio 😺🤓.

And this is the final result. Cats are mysterious beings, they observe us with their penetrating gaze and with those eyes that sometimes hide the sky, sometimes the forest and sometimes the sun. They are beautiful, independent, unattainable, the great Leonardo Da Vinci said it well, "Cats are small works of art in motion", words of a genius 😺🤓.
