Hoy les vengo con una nueva historia de amor y terror que está relacionada con la búsqueda de mejorar la apariencia de mi piel 🥹. Por de más que mucha gente al verme considera que no aparento mi edad y toda la cosa, la verdad es que el proceso biológico de envejecimiento sigue su curso y, aunque no estoy en la peor condición, debo reconocer que ya estoy notando signos como poros muy abiertos y manchas en todo el rostro, entonces, desde hace un mes me propuse comenzar una rutina de cuidado de la piel. Aquí les va mi experiencia....

As much as many people when they see me consider that I don't look my age and all, the truth is that the biological aging process continues its course and, although I'm not in the worst condition, I must admit that I'm already noticing signs like very open pores and spots all over my face, so, since a month ago I set out to start a skin care routine. Here is my experience....
Nunca antes había sentido la necesidad de cuidar mi piel, sobretodo porque en mi adolescencia no era algo de lo que se hablara en absoluto, no recuerdo a alguna compañera o amiga que siguiera alguna rutina especial, de hecho ni siquiera algo tan básico como el protector solar, porque es un producto que consideraba utilizar solo en la playa. Hoy en día es un tema con mucha popularidad y demanda, ha cobrado un sentido de importancia tanto en hombres como en mujeres, lo que genera que muchos expertos compartan sus conocimientos sobre tipos de piel, de tratamientos y hasta recomienden productos.
I had never felt the need to take care of my skin before, especially because in my adolescence it was not something that was talked about at all, I do not remember any classmate or friend who followed any special routine, in fact not even something as basic as sunscreen, because it is a product that I considered to use only at the beach. Today it is a topic with a lot of popularity and demand, it has gained a sense of importance in both men and women, which generates many experts to share their knowledge about skin types, treatments and even recommend products.
Entonces, lo ideal es que podamos visitar a un dermatólogo para que, después de una evaluación, pueda recomendarnos el tratamiento y los productos que mejor se adapten a nuestras necesidades, pero siendo sinceros la mayoría escogemos el camino fácil y económico: ¡Seguir recomendaciones en redes sociales! 😅. Es por ello que después de ver varios vídeos y leer algunas reseñas, decidí comenzar con una rutina super básica: Sérum de Niacidamina, crema hidratante, protector solar y, por supuesto, un buen desmaquillante. Como ya tengo un protector solar marca Nivea, solo compré los otros 3 productos mencionados y elegí la línea de Farmatodo que tanta popularidad ha ganado.
Then, ideally, we can visit a dermatologist so that, after an evaluation, he/she can recommend the treatment and products that best suit our needs, but being honest most of us choose the easy and cheap way: following recommendations on social networks! 😅. That's why after watching several videos and reading some reviews, I decided to start with a super basic routine: Niacidamine serum, moisturizer, sunscreen and of course a good makeup remover. Since I already have a Nivea brand sunscreen, I only bought the other 3 products mentioned and chose the Farmatodo line that has gained so much popularity.
Comenzaré por hablarles del desmaquillante. Este producto no lo uso muy seguido porque solo me maquillo en ocasiones especiales o cuando llevo a cabo mis prácticas de maquillaje, sin embargo desde la primera aplicación sentí algo que no esperaba: ¡Ardor! Ojo, tampoco es una sensación de quemadura o un dolor insoportable, de hecho no me causa enrojecimiento, pero si está presente esa desagradable sensación. Lo que puedo decir es que, hasta donde puedo notar, cumple la función de retirar el maquillaje rápidamente, incluso cuando se trata de pintura corporal, pero sigo sin entender la razón de que arda, pues he utilizado otros y nunca me había pasado.
I'll start by telling you about the makeup remover. I don't use this product very often because I only use it on special occasions or when I'm doing my makeup, but from the first application I felt something I didn't expect: it stings! It's not a burning sensation or an unbearable pain, in fact it doesn't cause redness, but that unpleasant sensation is present. What I can say is that, as far as I can tell, it does the job of removing makeup quickly, even when it comes to body paint, but I still don't understand why it burns, as I have used others and it has never happened to me before.
En el caso de la Niacidamina es más difícil para mí valorarla, puesto que jamás había utilizado un sérum de este tipo y no tengo con qué compararla, lo que puedo decirles es que desde que la incluí en mi rutina he tenido un brote de acné 🥲. A ver, su función seborreguladora si la cumple, soy piel grasa y he visto mejoras en ese aspecto, pero en cuanto a aclarar las manchas de la piel y mejorar la apariencia de los poros no tengo mucho qué decir. Les dejaré una foto del día en que comencé a usarla(24/01/24) y una al día de hoy, y si se fijan tengo la cara bastante brotada. Últimamente me han aparecido muchas más espinillas y de paso me han dejado nuevas manchas.
In the case of Niacidamine it is more difficult for me to evaluate it, since I had never used a serum of this type and I have nothing to compare it with, what I can tell you is that since I included it in my routine I have had an outbreak of acne 🥲. Let's see, its sebum regulating function if it fulfills it, I am oily skin and I have seen improvements in that aspect, but in terms of lightening skin blemishes and improving the appearance of pores I don't have much to say. I'll leave you a picture of the day I started using it (24/01/24) and one today, and if you notice I have a pretty broken out face. Lately I've been getting a lot more pimples and new blemishes.
Con respecto a la crema hidratante no tengo quejas. Es ligera, de rápida absorción y no deja una apariencia grasosa, lo único que no me encanta es que se acaba muy rápido a comparación de otra que solía utilizar. Tengo un mes y unos días desde que la compré y ya le queda poquito, lo que me hace analizar si vale la pena seguir con ella o comprar otra marca un poco más costosa pero que tenga más contenido. Todavía lo estoy decidiendo.
I have no complaints about the moisturizer. It's light, quickly absorbed and doesn't leave a greasy appearance, the only thing I don't love is that it runs out very quickly compared to another one I used to use. I have a month and a few days since I bought it and it has very little left, which makes me analyze if it is worth to continue with it or buy another brand a little more expensive but with more content. I am still deciding.
En conclusión, estos productos les funcionan a algunos de maravilla, mientras que otros no tenemos la misma suerte. Creo que le daré un mes más de uso, pero agregaré ácido salicílico a la rutina para ver si esta combinación mejora o, en su defecto, acelera los resultados. No sé si ustedes han probado estos productos o si tal vez puedan recomendarme otros, así que déjenme en los comentarios cualquiera sea su opinión.
In conclusion, these products work wonders for some, while others of us are not as lucky. I think I will give it one more month of use, but I will add salicylic acid to the routine to see if this combination improves or, failing that, accelerates the results. I don't know if you guys have tried these products or if maybe you can recommend others, so leave me in the comments whatever your opinion is.
