Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is "The Useless App," but first, have you ever noticed how our phones are cluttered with apps we barely use? How amusing it is we end up with so many, yet we only rely on a few of them. So let's dive into the main topic.
Useless apps can cause our smartphones to slowdown, making it hard or difficult to suggest between the one we want to actually use. It consumes a lot of valuable space and storage on our phones and slows down networks on our phones. The reason why many of us download these useless apps is out of curiosity or because the app is trending; that's why. Our friends can mention to us about the apps that's trending, and because of curiosity, we will download and install the app and later find it useless to us.
I can't mention how many useless apps are on my phone. Whenever I go online and see discussions or people saying or mentioning about a trending app, out of curiosity I will also download the app; not only one, I can download several of it, only to realise later that they are just useless and not useful for me. Whenever I am bored and open my phone, I often find it difficult and confuse which one I should choose or click on among all the apps I have on my phone, later to ask myself, "Why do I even have so many useless apps on my phone?" which leads me to use the important ones and ignore the rest. Some of the useless apps I have on my phone are; boring games, cooking recipes, photo lab, radio, inshot, Instagram, they are lot I only mentioned few of them.
I remember when a friend of my roommate came to our lodge to plait her hair. We saw her watching a Korean movie on her phone. We asked her to give us the movie; she said she couldn't because she's using an app to watch the movie and that she could tell us the app name to download it because the app offers a wide selection of movies, including American movies. Because I am curious about the app, I downloaded the app only for me to use the app for three days and stop using it due to two things: the app is consuming my data and because I always collect movies on my phone to watch, which I later regret downloading the app.

Another example is that there's this app I normally use to read my novels called "Wattpad.". I have been using the app since I finished secondary school. One day I was updating my WhatsApp on the Play Store, then I came across another novel app that people are recommending in the novel app comments section how the app is great, so I downloaded the app, but I barely used it because I see the app useless for me and the stories are not to my liking. Still, I am still using my Wattpad to read my novels.
In conclusion, I currently have so many useless apps on my phone that take up my phone space and storage. Even though I have deleted some of it, there are still some that are yet to be deleted on my phone. Me getting rid of these useless apps hasn't affected my life at all, because they are not as important as the apps I use daily.
