Generally, why do we have road side Vendors in the city? Well, the reason is not far-fetched and this is amounts to the fact that most of these road side Vendors are starters that couldn't afford to rent a Shop. So preferably, they sort to get a stand in front of a junction or a shopping complex to display their goods for passers by to see and patronize. Another thing to bear in mind is that, road side Vendors' goods are usually cheaper and negotiable unlike those Vendors that have rented a Shop which someone should know that there's going to be price difference.
Recently, I have been battling with looking for a nice and sizable slippers or skippon to buy but it's proved abortive for me get because of the size of my legs. The size of my legs for any kind of shoes is basically size 45 and above, any shoe, slippers or skippon below size 45 would become a struggle for my legs. This is more the reason why before I could any foot wears of my choice in terms of size I have look and search before I could get one.
This particular road side Vendor doesn't even stay close to my base to start with. I had to cover a lot of distance to locate his place. And the more reason I came to found his place was a particular day passing by his stand coming from back from a Chicken abattoir. Since that day I decided to revisit to get a pair of skippon for myself. Luckily for me, today happened to be the day to visit the Vendor's place because I was Town to pay a friend a visit so I decided to kill two Birds with one stone.
Normally if I want to go without any other purpose to the Shoes Vendor's stand, the cost of transportation alone might likely cover the half of the cost of the Skippon slippers I wanted to get. So the main purpose of my going to Town wasn't about getting only the foot wears but also to pay a Friend a visit. The Vendor's stand is one that is easy to locate which he's located in the popular street of Unity road in Ilorin metropolis. Unity road has to be one of the major streets in the city of Ilorin because of it location and how it's linked to some other major streets in Ilorin linking streets like Taiwo road, Offa road, post office and challenge etc.
As I have said earlier on, buying stuffs from road side Vendor is very cheap and negotiable though comes with it own risk but at least most times it does worth it. The Shoes Vendor is a middle aged Man who seemed to be very nice as you all know that this kind of Vendors are usually nice which is one of the attributes of most road side Vendors selling any kind of goods. The amount I bought this particular Skippon is not more than $4.
