Soy cubano, nacido en Sancti Spíritus, una ciudad colonial llena de encanto en el centro de Cuba. Mi conexión con la música comenzó casi antes de aprender a hablar. A los 5 años ya participaba en mi primer concurso de canto, y desde entonces no he dejado de expresarme a través de ella. Confieso que hasta hoy, mis mejores conciertos siguen siendo esos que improviso bajo la ducha.
I'm Cuban, born in Sancti Spíritus, a charming colonial city in central Cuba. My connection with music began almost before I learned to speak: at the age of five, I was already participating in my first singing contest, and since then I haven't stopped expressing myself through it. I confess that until today, my best concerts are still the ones I improvise under the shower.>
Entre los 8 y los 15 años, tuve la suerte de formar parte de la Compañía Artística "Haciendo Futuro", un espacio donde jugábamos a ser artistas. Allí, entre canciones, bailes y actuaciones, descubrí que quería dedicar mi vida a esto. Más tarde, en la secundaria, exploré otras formas del arte: tomé talleres de teatro, artes plásticas y guitarra. Aprendí acordes y ritmos básicos, descubrí cómo el teatro enriquece la interpretación y valoré más las artes visuales, pero siempre supe que mi verdadero norte era la voz.
He cantado en solitario y en agrupaciones de distintos formatos. Actualmente, soy vocalista de Pedro Reyes y la Década, una agrupación que rinde homenaje a la música del ayer reciente. Además, soy licenciado en Comunicación Social, carrera que elegí para entender mejor a las audiencias.
Between the ages of 8 and 15, I was lucky enough to be part of the "Haciendo Futuro" Artistic Company, a space where we played artists. There, between songs, dances and performances, I discovered that I wanted to dedicate my life to this. Later, in high school, I explored other forms of art: I took theater workshops, plastic arts and guitar. I learned chords and basic rhythms, I discovered how theater enriches the performance and I valued the visual arts more, but I always knew that my true north was the voice.
I've sung solo and in groups of different formats. Currently, I am a vocalist for Pedro Reyes y la Década, a group that pays homage to the music of the recent yesterday. In addition, I have a degree in Social Communication, a career that I chose to better understand audiences.>
Mi historia no es la de un virtuoso formado en grandes academias, sino la de alguien que canta por amor al arte. Cada canción que interpreto es un pedazo de mi vida, y creo que al compartir mi talento inspiro a otros a que se atrevan a mostrar el suyo.

My story is not that of a virtuoso trained in great academies, but that of someone who sings for the pure love of art. Every song I perform is a piece of my life, and I think by sharing my talent I inspire others to dare to show theirs.
