Hello, friends especially foodies!

Have you ever expected much for something then came along with disatisisfaction or even disappointment? If your answer is yes, then you could understand what i felt that day...... Yes, one day recently i went to one of the branch of a famous lamian restaurant brand.

Lamian palace was the name of the restaurant. I went to their branch which was located in Central Park mall.

From the outside you could see that this place was quite wide and also large too.

They showed some of their Chef Recommendation.

Like you could see they had steam bun filled barbeque pork with black truffle, yuzu honey, lamian soup with pork young tofu in beans sauce, and also baked chicken with garlic. And the prices they put there only until a span of time, so by the time i arrived there it already passed the time so the prices already back to normal again.

Inside, as a famous lamian restaurant brand, this restaurant had lots of customers. And although their dining area was quite large, but by time i arrived there, at around 11 am something, it was almost full.

The dining area itself had wooden furnish with creme floor and ceiling which was also combined with wooden ceiling. The place was quite nice and comfy to dine in.

In the menu book, on the first page you would find the same chef recommendation menu as you could see at the banner outside their restaurant.

Then you could find kind of their authentic menu, lamian (flying noodle), which was originated from China's Shanxi Province. They made the fresh noodle there in the restaurant by pulling and throwing the single strand noodle.

And for this lamian, they had noodle with cha chiang minced pork and separated pork bone soup, pork chasiew noodle in pork bone soup, minced pork noodle, noodle with pork wonton in pork bone soup, noodle with stewed pok belly and preserved vegetable, meatballs noodle, beef noodle, noodle with deep fried pork, fried noodle with pork chasiew, xo fried noodle, noodle with sliced beef in spicy soup, noodle with beef shank and chili oil in chicken soup and some other noodles.

You could also find their kind of dim sum too. They had pork shewmay, minced pork steamed buns, steamed pork ribs with black bean sauce, xiao long bao, steamed buns, gao zi, steamed dumplings, hakau and so on. Of course they also had many other menus from appetizer to soup, and other things which i didn't take any pictures of.

Overall there, they had a complete chinese food menu.

For the drink, i only took a picture of one of their pages.

Cause that day i wanted to have my favorite chrysanthemum chinese tea.

Enough with the menu, i would get you dig more about the food that i ordered and why i disatisfied with them. So let's check it out!

First the one that didn't dissapoint me was their chrysanthemum chinese tea.

Served in the tea pot it was refillable and could be easily shared if you came not alone but they would charge you extra for each cup.

The chrysanthemum tea served hot and real came from the chrysanthemum flowers. It tasted light and fresh with a bit sweet natural flavour. Not thick with yellowish color, it suitable for all ages and had many health benefit. I welcome you to try chrysanthemum tea every place you could find it.

Next, the dim sum that was one of the chef recommendation was coming. It was one of the cutest in the recommendation as the picture, so i expected it came that way... but it was made me sad because the deer buns looked messed up. Even i needed to tidy it up a bit before i took a picture of it. Looked like they took pictures of the raw material of it before getting steamed... so they were incomparable.

Now how about the buns tasted?

Filled with barbeque pork with black truffle, it tasted so good. I mean please don't mind the look, haha, please i never tasted soft small buns with sweet dominated soft barbeque pork and black truffle before, and the combination was so perfect. I got the tasty sweet barbeque pork flavour combined with the black truffle flavour. So perfect!

On this first food menu i had, i only dissatisfied with the look of the buns which were totally messed up and it a bit made me had worried about their taste.

And now the main course i ordered was their lamian. It was their noodle with pork wonton in pork bone soup.

For this menu i expected much because i had tried their lamian in one of their other branch which tasted so good.

Now i tried to order from this branch and i got disappointed. The reason was first the noodle itself didn't taste so good. It didn't have any flavour at all, no savory tastiness in it. I didn't know how they processed it but i didn't taste any flavour at all. And for the pork bone soup, it was messed up too... i couldn't feel any broth in it so it a big no.

While for the wonton, they made the skin too thick.

It only had little pork meat inside which was tasted savory. It little helped to relieve the big disappointment for their noodle and soup.

So i didn't recommend you to try lamian from this branch of lamian palace, you better come to their other branches, because they had many branches.
