Warm greetings to all the people on Hive!
One of the things I do in my leisure time at home is watching some cooking reels on YouTube. And I saw this trending recipe today, the SQUARE TOFU SAUCE.
Since we all love to eat tofu, I decided to make this kind of tofu recipe. I made it with the selected ingredients that meet my family's preferences especially my daughter who is allergic to seafood and seafood seasoning. So, my ingredients are a bit different from the recipes I saw in some reels on YouTube. Here is my own version of tofu square sauce.
SQUARE TOFU SAUCE
INGREDIENTS:
-Tofu
-Egg
-Cornstarch
-Soy Sauce
-Garlic Powder
-Paprika
-Maggi Magic Sarap Seasoning
-Ground Black Pepper
-Lemon
-Bread Crumbs
-Sugar
-Canola Oil
-Parsley
-Onion
-Garlic
-Mayonnaise
-Angel Creamer
-Cheese
PREPARATION AND COOKING TIME:
Pat dry tofu with a kitchen towel.
Cut the tofu into cubes or squares. Then, set aside.
Wash the parsley thoroughly then cut the leaves into small pieces.
Peel and wash onion then cut into small pieces.
Crush and peel garlic then cut into small pieces.
Mix cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, ground black pepper and Maggi Magic Sarap. (Measurement of all these ingredients will depends or varies on how much amount of tofu you're going to cook)
After mixing all these dry ingredients, coat all the sliced tofu with it. Be sure to coat all the sides of the tofu.
After coating, dip them individually with the beaten eggs, coat the tofu with bread crumbs, and then fry on low to medium heat. Repeat this procedure until all of them are cooked. Then set aside.
Now let's make the sauce.
Heat a small amount of canola oil, then sauté onions and garlic until aromatic. Add the creamer and mayonnaise and a little slurry made of cornstarch and water. Stir the sauce occasionally, and then season it with soy sauce, ground black pepper, a pinch of salt, a pinch of sugar (brown or white will do), and a little of Maggi Magic Sarap. Continue stirring until thicken.
Then, add some fresh parsley. Continue to cook for just two minutes. Then put off the heat.
Carefully pour some sauce onto the tofu squares. You can sprinkle some grated cheese if you like and I did it to make it more flavorful.
And voila!!!
Here's our creamylicious tofu square! It's really yummy!! Have some guys... and I hope you like it.
Thank you so much for dropping by. See you all in my next post. God bless everyone!!
