Normalmente hablamos de fe en entornos religiosos, nadie habla de fe en entornos digitales o tecnológicos, pero, quédate en estas líneas y dame la oportunidad de explicar este asunto. Así que antes de pensar que voy por un camino religioso, nada que ver, en primer lugar remontémonos a la etimología de la palabra fe, que viene del latín “fides” esto lo pueden confirmar en cualquier diccionario latín-español. Fides, viene a significar confianza o lealtad.
Aunque la palabra fe se asocia a religiosidad, creo que laicamente es posible acercarnos de cierto modo a la fe, y poder aplicarla a nuestra cotidianidad digital, y seguro te puedes estar preguntando ¿Cómo se puede tener fe en web3?
Propongamos una analogía, en algún momento determinado podemos atravesar alguna patología independientemente sea leve o grave, vamos al médico o al especialista para que nos diga qué hacer, luego de hacernos el chequeo respectivo, nos menciona cuales son los medicamentos y los pasos a seguir durante el tratamiento, se puede dar el caso que ignoremos completamente cómo funciona la afección que padecemos y mucho menos sabemos cómo trabaja el medicamento en nuestro organismo; y a pesar de todo, lo cumplimos a cabalidad porque de cierta manera tenemos fe (confianza ) en el especialista.
Del mismo modo creo que suele pasar con la tecnológica, normalmente no comprendemos como funciona, pero nos importa que funcione, tenemos fe de que la tecnología funcione como debe funcionar. Ahora bien, aunque podamos vivir de ese modo creo que hay una frase latina que podría venir bien a esta reflexión.
San Anselmo de Canterbury dijo hace siglos: “Credo ut intelligam” y que resume todo el pensamiento escolástico de la edad media, donde debatían la relación entre fe y razón, y que tal frase de San Anselmo y que también es usada numerosas veces por San Agustín de Hipona, viene a significar que el paso previo a entender es el creer, o en otras palabras tener fe, pues, la fe abre paso al conocimiento, aunque, en este sentido, podemos proponer una frase particularmente opuesta.
Intellego ut credam
Esta frase recuerdo haberla leído por primera vez en la encíclica papal “Fides y Ratio”. Frase que se opone a la anterior, pues está significa, entiendo para creer, y precisamente es esta frase con la que me resuena más la posibilidad de tener fe en web3. Creo que es precisamente esta idea la que nos debe mover como entusiastas de estas nuevas maneras de entender el internet y de relacionarnos en estos nuevos entornos digitales. Es decir, debemos ser movidos por el espíritu de la curiosidad, una curiosidad sincera es decir, con plena apertura a desear entender los procesos, que significan los conceptos, de qué va todo este horizonte que llamamos filosofía de web3.
