I'm Lorentm, a digital artist, and I'm very excited to share with you my latest creation. This time, I decided to make a fan art of the beloved character Zingu, but in a female version with an anime aesthetic, I hope you like it as much as I loved doing it!
In this captivating illustration, Zingu, the charismatic character from Holozing, has been transformed into a female version with a style that reflects the elegance and strength of the character. Her deep blue hair, adorned with a golden tiara, frames her face as it falls over one of her eyes, giving her a mysterious and charming air.
The figure wears a dark bodice with light blue details and a plunging neckline, enhanced by a necklace featuring an oval gemstone pendant. White fluffy fur adorns the shoulders of the outfit, creating a perfect contrast with the elegant design and highlighting her imposing presence.
In the background, I wanted to recreate an arctic environment, with snow and ice reflecting the moonlight, while tall crystalline structures emerge from the immaculate whiteness. This setting not only enhances the beauty of Zingu, but also brings a magical and enveloping atmosphere to the work.

In a realm where magic and ancestral mysteries converge, Zingu, the last heiress of the "Star Hunters", embarks on an epic quest. Her deep blue hair, infused with the essence of the constellations, is her greatest treasure and her curse. The hair sticks he carries are ancestral relics that amplify his connection to the cosmos.
Zingu searches for the Ice Star, a legendary jewel that can break the veil that separates his world from ours. Along the way, he encounters ice creatures, celestial guardians, and enigmatic beings who wish to extinguish the stars forever.
The arctic city glimpsed in the background of your illustration is the entrance to the Kingdom of the Frozen Stars. Its crystal towers house ancestral libraries and interdimensional portals. Zingu will enter this world, defying the darkness and discovering that his destiny is intertwined with that of us all.
En un reino donde la magia y los misterios ancestrales convergen, Zingu, la última heredera de los "Cazadores de Estrellas", emprende una búsqueda épica. Su cabello azul intenso, impregnado con la esencia de las constelaciones, es su mayor tesoro y su maldición. Los "hair sticks" que lleva son reliquias ancestrales que amplifican su conexión con el cosmos.

Process / Proceso
To create this fan art of Zingu, the first step was to conceptualize the image in my mind. Once I had a clear idea, I started with the sketch. I used light and quick strokes to define the pose, expression and main details of the character. This is a very free and fluid process, where I allow ideas to evolve as I go along.
With the sketch in place, I proceeded to outlining. At this stage, I used cleaner, sharper lines to shape the illustration. Here, I paid special attention to the details of the face, hair and clothing, making sure to capture the essence of Zingu in her female version. Outlining is crucial to establish a solid foundation before moving on to the color stage.
The next step was coloring. I started with the base colors, choosing a palette that highlighted the anime aesthetic and enhanced the character's personality. For the hair, I opted for a deep blue, while the dark bodice and light blue details provided an attractive visual contrast. I applied the colors evenly, taking care that each area was well defined.
Then, I applied shadows and highlights to give depth and realism to the illustration. I used soft and blurred shadows for the less illuminated areas, such as under the hair and in the folds of the clothes. For highlights, I added highlights to the hair, eyes and the metallic details of the tiara and necklace, which helped to highlight the most important elements and give it a more dynamic, three-dimensional look.
Finally, I reviewed all the details and made final adjustments to make sure each element was in harmony. I added additional effects to the background to reinforce the arctic atmosphere, such as reflections in the crystalline structures and a slight shimmer in the snow.
This process, while challenging, was incredibly rewarding. Each stage allowed the character to gradually come to life, from a simple idea to a detailed and vibrant illustration. I hope you enjoy this work as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Para crear este fan art de Zingu, el primer paso fue conceptualizar la imagen en mi mente. Una vez que tuve una idea clara, comencé con el boceto. Utilicé trazos ligeros y rápidos para definir la pose, la expresión y los detalles principales del personaje. Este es un proceso muy libre y fluido, donde permito que las ideas evolucionen sobre la marcha.
Con el boceto en su lugar, procedí al delineado. En esta etapa, utilicé líneas más limpias y definidas para dar forma a la ilustración. Aquí, presté especial atención a los detalles del rostro, el cabello y la vestimenta, asegurándome de capturar la esencia de Zingu en su versión femenina. El delineado es crucial para establecer una base sólida antes de pasar a la etapa de color.
El siguiente paso fue el coloreado. Empecé con los colores base, eligiendo una paleta que destacara la estética anime y realzara la personalidad del personaje. Para el cabello, opté por un azul intenso, mientras que el corpiño oscuro y los detalles en azul claro proporcionaron un contraste visual atractivo. Apliqué los colores de manera uniforme, cuidando que cada área estuviera bien definida.
Luego, pasé a aplicar sombras y brillos para darle profundidad y realismo a la ilustración. Utilicé sombras suaves y difuminadas para las áreas menos iluminadas, como debajo del cabello y en los pliegues de la ropa. Para los brillos, agregué toques de luz en el cabello, los ojos y los detalles metálicos de la tiara y el collar, lo que ayudó a resaltar los elementos más importantes y a darle un aspecto más dinámico y tridimensional.
