Hello Hive friends! It's me again @ayen0001. Today is my hubby's day off. This is one of those days that reminded me to appreciate little things in life. It was a day filled with gratitude, quality time with loved ones and a sense of accomplishments.
My day started early with a follow-up-check-up with my doctor. I was a bit anxious but as soon as I saw my doctor smiling face, I knew everything was going to be okay. And indeed it was! My test result showed significant improvement compared to my first check-up back in 2023 (in another post I'll be sharing a personal story about my health journey, I'll be opening up about what prompted me to seek medical attention, the diagnosis I received and my road to my recovery). I couldn't help but feel grateful for this positive update. It's a reminder that our health is truly a blessing and we should never take it for granted.

After the doctor's appointment , my husband and I headed to Robinson's Mall to take care of some errands. He needed to verify something with PAG-IBIG and I was happy to tag along. As we were waiting in the line , we chatted with the staff and learned more about the benefits of being a PAG-IBIG member. It was a great opportunity to learn something new and appreciate the convenience of having the services available.
With our errands done, we decided to grab our lunch at Paotsin. We've been craving their delicious noodles and dumplings. And it did not disappoint us. Initially, we planned on just having a snack but we decided to go all-out and have a full lunch instead. We were spoiled for choice when we saw the variety of bread and pastries on display. Everything looked so delicious . There were also plenty of restaurants to choose but in the end we decided to go with our heart and decided to go to Paotsin instead. There's something about their food that's so comforting and nostalgic. Maybe it's the familiar flavors or the cozy atmosphere, but whatever it is, it always feels like home. We've been craving their dishes for a while now, and it was great to finally satisfy our cravings.

As we explore the mall , we discovered a treasure trove of creativity in the exhibit area, where local artists showcased their stunning works of art.
Before heading home, we made a quick stop at the wet market to pick up some ingredients for dinner. We're having a boodlefight tonight, courtesy of my Aunt and cousin who are visiting from out of town. They're also here for a follow-up-check-up with their doctor and we're happy to have them stay with us. As we walked through the market, we selected the freshest fish and vegetables to add to our feast. The smell of fresh seafood and the sound of vendors calling out their prices added to the excitement of our shopping trip. We also bought ice cream for our pasalubong.
When we got home, my cousin voluntarily took charge of cooking the sisig and my Mom grilles the bangus. Finally! It's dinner time. Our boodlefight spread was a sight to behold. With and assortment of dishes that catered to everyone's feasts. We had crispy fried tilapia, grilled bangus, savory sisig and our all-time favorite fried longanisa. The combination of flavors was absolute perfection.

As we sat around the table, sharing stories and laughter, I felt grateful for this family of mine. It's moments like these that remind me of the importance of bonding and creating memories with our loved ones. And it was indeed a well spent rest day of my hubby.
Thankyou so much for taking time to read my blog. Until next time. Stay blessed and grateful!
