Last evening one of my friends called me up and she asked me to accompany her to the plant's nursery. She wanted to get some summer plants for her garden. Now that summer is setting in most of these flower plants will wither out. We always keep making these shifts with the change in the climate. When I went to the nursery with her, I was so tempted to pick up a few for my home as well. But this time I need to hold myself back. Next week I am travelling back to Mumbai and then going to have a long stay back home for 2 months, as I need to complete a lot of my new house work.
While looking at these plants, I was taking ideas for my own Garden set up in my new home. I want to grow a lot of food in my garden and at the same time also have some ornamental plants which would add beauty to my space. At the same time I need to check out the ones that the climate in my region will support. Over there I am already taking help of one of the local gardeners in setting up my garden. He has given me a long list of what all I can grow and that seems to be covering a lot of veggies and fruits.
I took some pictures at the nursery to show to my gardener as to what all plants I would like to have. I don't know all the names, but I am sure he will know by the look of it and will help me out.
Some of these Bamboo plants I want to have them near the pool and the gazebo side as they real bring in lot of freshness.
I had to really control myself to not buy anything :-(
My friend bought quite a few plants for her garden, and I cannot wait to get back home and start working on my own garden.
