The school was set in a very serene environment, a-top acres of sprawling land, surrounded by a lush woody vegetation. People agreed that it was a most conducive environment for learning, so 'Ama Secondary High' was the top pick for most parents.
As for the boarding school, it has the history of strictness and discipline, churning out ladies who were famed as very well mannered. The Proprietor was the Iron Lady, Mrs Agatha, a No-nonsense woman who no one dared to defy, and who presided with absolute authority.
It was the beginning of the first term of the new academic year and the students had barely settled in, when the rumours of unusual heavy steps moving in the corridors of the girl's hostel, deep in the night, started circulating.These were heard in areas where no lights existed, dark shadows were seen moving around, but Miss Agatha dismissed them as mere imaginations when students reported their findings to her.
Until one day, a student was reported missing. A quiet girl in Form IV, Fiona was claimed to have been abducted while she slept. The girls who witnessed it stated that they did see her, sickly white, being dragged into the night by a dark shadowy object.
The hunt for Fiona yielded no results and Mrs Agatha commanded the students to shut up and not say a word of what they had seen to the Police team investigating the incident . She cooked up a Cock and Bull story of Fiona having taken permission to leave for her home. She feared that she would have no authority over what happens if the truth was let out, to the whole world.
