Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
The flesh is the Adamic nature that desires comfort where sacrifice is needed, satisfaction at all costs and sinful indulgences just to be momentarily happy.
It is the brain behind the lust for money, fame, popularity, sex, and the worship of idols.
It is the domain of sin as it fights consistently against the man's decision to be holy and perfect before God.
Thus, in order to be genuinely Christlike, our flesh must be crucified. This is the process of consistently, consciously and intentionally denying the flesh of it's ungodly and inordinate desires.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, the flesh will become ineffective in our decision making, thus we begin to experience victory over sin.
My brethren, it is impossible to please God and even make heaven when the flesh still control our thoughts, speech and actions. Thus, a victorious life is a crucified life.

Dear Lord, thank you for giving us the way out in dealing with the flesh to attend our victory in Christ. Please help us to conquer the flesh completely, in Jesus name. Amen.
