In the last few years we have been really shocked by the very high level of inflation, in Indonesia we really feel the impact of this inflation.
Especially for ordinary people who have a monthly income below the minimum wage, I am sure they will be very tormented by the impact of this inflation. The most prominent impact of inflation at the moment is the increase in the price of petrol, diesel and also several other basic necessities which means that all people have to endure the suffering of this inflation.
The minimum monthly wage in Indonesia is currently IDR 3,600,000 or the equivalent of $222 USD. Considering the high price of various types of goods in Indonesia today, it feels like the amount of money above is really very small for the various basic needs of the people that they have to provide for themselves and their families.
In fact, those of us who live in middle class economic conditions feel very difficult about this high inflation rate and also the monthly drink wages we get. Sometimes we have to really save and reduce our expenses so that we can survive every day.
As ordinary people of course we cannot do anything to improve the current increasing inflationary conditions, all we can do is work harder so that we can meet the basic needs in our lives.
Even $10 USD really doesn't seem to matter anymore for shopping in Indonesia nowadays because the price of all goods has increased many times over the last 2 years.
And with the current increase in inflation, I see more and more unemployment around me now because many large companies have had to lay off their employees because the company can no longer afford to pay many employees.
With more and more people being unemployed, not many goods are being sold in the market anymore because people can't shop because they don't have money, which means traders are also making losses.
The impact of inflation can really cripple various economic sectors from various directions, even though on paper the government sometimes says that the poverty rate continues to decrease every year, but believe me, this is just talk and the reality is the opposite of the data.
If I have the ability to change the situation in my country, there is only one most effective thing I can do to make inflation and the economy in my country change for the better.
The way to do this is that I have to eradicate all acts of corruption from the village head to the highest level of government, because the very high level of corruption crimes in Indonesia is what is making this country miserable at the moment.
I also want to arrest all the natural resource mafia in Indonesia, because of their actions, Indonesia has now become an increasingly poor country. If I have succeeded in eliminating these 2 types of crime, I am sure Indonesia will be better in the future.
Because with the income that Indonesia has with the abundance of natural resources that we have, if it is not corrupted and stolen by bad people, I am sure that Indonesia will immediately become a developed country as soon as possible and inflation will no longer be a big problem in Indonesia.
