¿Qué hacer cuando te gusta escribir e interactuar y tienes tiempo libre? Eso llevo preguntándome desde que, en el tercer año de mi carrera universitaria, me encontré con mucho tiempo disponible y
no sabia en qué emplearlo. Y así, después de mucho buscar alguna plataforma social en la que integrarme como usuaria, y de casi haberme rendido, llegó a mí mediante una amiga Hiver que me
comentó y me invitó a unirme, Ecency y la comunidad Hive en general. ¿Qué puedo decir? Para mí, el tiempo de ocio debe emplearse en algo productivo o interesante que alimente el espíritu, y crear contenido para Hive me pareció una muy buena forma de interactuar con personas con intereses afines a los míos, intercambiar opiniones, interactuar con ellos. En resumen, otra forma de aprender sobre nuevos temas, o de ampliar los que conozco, mediante la interacción social.
What to do when you like to write and interact and have free time? That's what I've been asking myself ever since, in the third year of my university career, I found myself with a lot of time available and didn't know what to spend it on. And so, after a lot of searching for a social platform in which to integrate myself as a user, and almost having given up, it came to me through a friend Hiver who told me and invited me to join, Ecency and the Hive community in general. What can I say? For me, leisure time
should be spent on something productive or interesting that feeds the spirit, and creating content for Hive seemed like a very good way to interact with people with similar interests to mine, exchange
opinions, interact with them. In short, another way to learn about new topics, or to expand on the ones I know, through social interaction.
Pero, ¿por dónde empezar? Por supuesto que con una presentación, si no, cómo podría comenzar mi experiencia en la comunidad Hive. Mi nombre es Caterine, si, nada de K´s y nada de h´s, solo Caterine, pero así solo me llama mi madre cuando está molesta conmigo, todos me dicen Caty, o Cat. Soy de Cuba, y como cubana que soy, llevo el sabor de la salsa y me encanta hablar, de ahí que viera en Hive una forma de interacción social, que se ha perdido mucho en mi generación, debido a la constante falta de actividad social a la que nos sometemos por decisión propia muchas veces, recluyéndonos en nosotros mismos y limitando la comunicación con las personas a nuestro alrededor. Soy una chica de 21 años de edad, nací el día 26 de julio, un día que se celebra en Cuba como Día de la Rebeldía Nacional, y que también coincide con los carnavales en toda la isla, fiestas populares en las que enormes carrozas llenas de bailarines pasean por las calles cantando y bailando; por eso, me gusta decir que todos los cubanos celebran mi cumpleaños haha.

Soy estudiante de Ingeniería en Telecomunicaciones y Electrónica, me apasiona mi carrera porque combina dos de mis gustos, las redes y las comunicaciones. Me encanta saber como funcionan las
comunicaciones, me resulta tan fascinante como con cálculos matemáticos y mucha física, hubo personas en el pasado que lograros diseñar redes de comunicaciones para conectar el mundo entero, con cables primero y luego mediante comunicaciones inalámbricas, que estoy metida de lleno en ellos y me encanta lo que estudio. Es una carrera difícil, sin embargo, y hay muchas personas que se han quedado en esta ruta difícil y trabajosa que se llama universidad. Estudio en la Facultad de Telecomunicaciones y Electrónica de la Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana ``José Antonio Echeverria´´, en La Habana, pero como soy de otra provincia, Artemisa, vivo becada en el campus universitario.
I am a student of Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering, I am passionate about my career because it combines two of my tastes, networks and communications. I love to know how communications work, I find it as fascinating as with mathematical calculations and a lot of physics, there were people in the past who managed to design communications networks to connect the whole world, with cables first and then through wireless communications, that I'm fully into them and I love what I study. It's a tough career, though, and there are plenty of people who have stayed on this difficult and laborious route called college. I study at the Faculty of Telecommunications and Electronics of the Technological University of Havana ''José Antonio Echeverría'', in Havana, but since I am from another province, Artemisa, I live on a beedroom on the university campus.
Unido a mi pasión por las redes, las comunicaciones, las ciencias y los números, siento un profundo amor por la literatura, la música, la danza y las artes en general. La música, principalmente, me gusta casi de cualquier género, desde la música clásica, hasta el tan polémico género urbano, pasando por la música country y por el hip-hop. Mi cantante y compositor favorito es Joaquín Sabina, me encantan todas y cada una de sus canciones, todo lo que transmite, la poesía que tiene en cada letra, las historias que cuenta con su voz rota y melancólica, pero que a la vez toma un tono jocoso si se trata de una e sus clásicas rumbitas españolas, como ``19 días y 500 noches´´, que es una de mis favoritas, pues aunque habla de una ruptura amorosa, toma el tema y lo convierte en una comedia total, sacando alguna que otra risa al oyente mientras dura la canción. En cuanto a potencia vocal, soy una gran fan de Adele y de Sia, para mi dos de las cantantes con más potencia vocal de estos tiempos. Se me eriza la piel cada vez que escucho sus interpretaciones a capella, por todo lo que transmiten con sus voces tan impresionantes.
Coupled with my passion for networking, communications, science, and numbers, I have a deep love for literature, music, dance, and the arts in general. Music, mainly, I like almost any genre, from classical music, to the controversial urban genre, through country music and hip-hop. My favorite singer and
songwriter is Joaquín Sabina, I love each and every one of his songs, everything he transmits, the poetry he has in each lyric, the stories that he tells with his broken and melancholic voice, but at the same time takes on a humorous tone if it is one of his classic Spanish rumbitas, such as ''19 days and 500 nights'', which is one of my favorites, because although it talks about a love breakup, it takes the subject and turns it into a total comedy, getting a laugh or two from the listener while the song lasts. In terms of vocal power, I'm a big fan of Adele and Sia, for me two of the singers with the most vocal power these days. I get goosebumps every time I listen to their a cappella performances, because of everything they convey with their impressive voices.
Mi filosofía en la vida es simple: la vida se vive paso a paso, cada uno de esos pasos es necesarios vivirlos intensamente, porque nunca se sabe si el próximo paso será el ultimo que demos; hacer el
bien y no mirar a quien, la vida sola se encargara de darte una retribución merecida por todas esas buenas acciones que vamos haciendo día tras día; lo más importante, siempre hay luz hasta en la oscuridad más absoluta, siempre habrá un oasis en el desierto, siempre existirá bien dentro del mal, solo se necesita saber verlo, interactuar con ello y potenciarlo sin dejar que ni la oscuridad, ni el
desierto ni el mal nos destruyan.
My philosophy in life is simple: life is lived step by step, each of those steps must be lived intensely, because you never know if the next step will be the last one we take; Do good and don't look at whom, life alone will be in charge of giving you a deserved retribution for all those good actions that we are doing day after day; Most importantly, there is always light even in the most absolute darkness, there will always be an oasis in the desert, there will always be good within evil, you just need to know how to see it, interact with it and enhance it without letting the darkness, the desert or evil destroy us.
¡Wow! Hasta yo me sorprendo de lo mucho que puedo llegar a hablar cuando se supone que iba a hacer una pequeña auto-introducción para comenzar mi experiencia en Hive, supongo que le debo eso a mis genes cubanos, que hacen que lo que iba a ser una conversación de dos minutos entre vecinos, se convierta en toda una tarde de café y mucho cotilleo haha.

Wow! Even I am surprised at how much I can talk when I was supposed to do a little self-introduction to start my Hive experience, I guess I owe that to my Cuban genes, which make what was going to be a two-minute conversation between neighbors, turn into an afternoon of coffee and a lot of gossip haha.
