One thing where I did face challenge was budgeting the whole traveling journey from buying tickets to moving to station and than food and all that on the journey.
Before talking about how i did budget the whole traveling let me start from where and why I traveled first.
I Traveled to the City of Lights after a long time
I traveled with my family to Karachi, that's the city also known as city of lights... Most of my relatives and family lives in Karachi and it's my birth city too.
it wasn't planned that I'll visit there but I had to because of a marriage function in the family.
Yea, had to travel for about 1 and half day to attend marriage and going to stay for like a half of month.

The last time I traveled here was about two years ago and before that I spent the whole pandemic here.. I've so many memories and things to do here with cousins and siblings.
It makes sense spending some money on traveling when it could give you such memorable moments to think about years later from now, with budgeting it becomes more better to travel anywhere if you know what's going to cost what and where you're going to spend money.
Travel Budgeting: The expense of tickets to overall experience
When I have to travel alone I prefer bus but when with family they do like long journey on train. So, we booked railway tickets and train station was also far away from home that means public transport also costed some extra money. My total budget for this limited holiday was limited like $100 for this whole trip.

So, the ticket per person costed about $15 that is totally cheap compared to other cities though about two years ago the same ticket, train costed under 10 dollars.
Where bus would've costed more than $20 each person with less storage and space.. we did traveled comfortably in train with enough space.
Budgeting Food in this 36 Hours Long Journey
Everything like snacks or food was 2x expensive at train station.. if something cost 50rs in a local shop.. that same thing will cost 70rs at train station.

I knew about the prices and that's why I decided to take 10 dollars to local store nearby that station and brought all the snacks for the normal price.
It did saved me from spending too much money on snacks at station.. I had bought for once and it was more than enough for next 36 hours.
Though about the food, mom cooked that at home and just had to buy the bread from station.
36 Hours in a Train
Surviving in the train was all good and easy until first 24 hours.. after that train started stopping in every single station like it was some local transport waiting for passengers to get in and out.
The moment it turned awful was after every 10 minutes.. the train was stopped in the middle of nowhere for about 20 minutes and it arrived at the final destination way too late.
Mostly it takes 30 hours to reach there but it was 6 hours late and another worst part was there was no charging slot.. last time they had proper charging slots in each cabin.. but other than this it was all good.
Wrapping Up...
In the end without proper budgeting this same traveling could've costed me much more but I tried to save as much as possible without bringing discomfort in this long journey. It Went smoothly overall except some hiccups in the second day.
