Holozing Healer-themed Ludo Game Craft

I refuse to be left out of this spree of creativity around the holozing game. Having read and seen lots of unboxed creativity to tell the holozing story, I sought what I could do and while a friend called me to play Ludo game with him, I discovered that the ludo game we had was designed with faces of football players from different EPL teams. Just then, my mind told me, this could be done for the holozing game. Besides the glassware of the available ludo got broken while we played, it was necessary to change the face of the game while making an attempt to remove the broken glass.

Ludo is a strategy board game for two to four players, in which the players race their four tokens from start to finish according to the rolls of a single or pair of die. Like other cross and circle games, Ludo is derived from the Indian game Pachisi. It's one of the most played board game in my locality and I love playing it. Beyond being a game, it helps to improve cognitive, counting, and maths skills as you have to add numbers and think of the best token to move on the board.

To make the holozing healer-themed ludo game, I needed the following:

    • Art Card
    • Straw board
    • Paper gum
    • Designs of the holozing healers.

For this ludo game, I chose the Ocean healers (male and female) and Light healers (male and female).

I had the board demo design printed with the Holozing healers placed instead of the initial images. It was not easy to do that with my CorelDRAW. I'm not an expert on that. I also had the Holozing logo placed in the middle of the ludo game board design.

I printed it coloured. My printer missed the holozing link in the printing and I had to write with my hand on the final work.

The next step was to use a pair of scissors to cut out the designed shape of the ludo board from the card. I sliced the straw board which had a better thickness to line the sides of the printed and carved-out card. This was to provide edges for the game to prevent the tokens and die from falling out during play.

The straws were glued to the edges of the board and we had a firm board with raised edges.

I used a dry rag to press the straws to the edges of the he board till it became dried. Lo, the Holozing healer-themed ludo game board was ready.

I poured the die and tokens in the board and we were ready to play.

This is my first craft to promote the Holozing game. I hope to create more.
