Respect is not an old fashioned word.... The place of respect in the home and outside should be taught from the home. We live in an era where some children don't take giving honour as a vital thing. There is need to teach children how to respect from home starting from honour to parents, siblings, uncle's, Aunty's before it flows to those outside. There is this popular saying Charity Begins From Home
A child with good morals from home will grow not forgetting those good morals. Most times we cannot totally run from societal influence but when the child learns good morals first from home it becomes minimal.
Train the kids in the way you which they grow. One mistake I see some parents make is that they leave the inculcation of good morals to the school forgetting that they have higher influence over their children's life.
Let's do our best as parents in the place of caring for the children moral life not only in provisions.
