It is important for him to stay conscious till the girl reaches the other side of the mountain. As she is inching towards the end slowly getting closer to the other end of the mountain. He feels relief.
He remembers how the earthquake destroyed his village. He is the only person alive in his village but soon he realises he is not alone, he heard someone calling for help. After following the voice of distress he finds a girl stuck inside the debris. He pulls her out and thankfully she is not harmed, just a few scratches. Holding her hand and runs towards the bridge which connects the village to the world outside. He is disappointed to find out the bridge is almost gone, then he can see a rope attached to the end of the bridge joining it to the other side of the mountain. He grabs the rope before it detaches completely and asks the girl to climb and reach towards safety.
It's been ages and he can feel his head pounding loudly and realises how a pillar has hit him, making him dizzy. He is tired and wants to sleep, lose consciousness just like he lost all his family and friends. He has to stay awake for just a few more minutes. He is feeling light weighted and the rope is slipping from his hand and knows he saved her and now he can lose consciousness.
