Splinterlands social media challenge | Scary Boogeyman

in voilk •  9 days ago

Hey hey heeeeyyyy! How are you guys doing? My weekend has been incredible so far, been hanging around in the mountain city of baguio, and despite that, I have had a bit of time to draw after all the eating and exploring we do in the day. I mean, an hour or two goes a long way for me ^^
Anyways, I thought I'd join the splinterlands social media challenge this week since I have been promising to be more active from last week onwards. Anyways, I finally tried making that boogeyman art I've been planning to make for a few weeks now, I thought I should finally pour all my pent up ideas into drawing because who knows when I'll be busy again.

    Here is my render ^^

    Duration: 2 hours
    Software: Medibang paint
Posted in Instagram. You can check that out here, though I grouped it in with my other drawings for the month

    As for the progression...

Since I always forget to capture my sketch phase now, I mostly captured my blob and my weird base color choice for this drawing.

Then I work on making the shape I wanted. I played around with this for quite a while... Maybe some 20 minutes before I stopped and worked on the hands

I forgot to capture the hands part of the drawing again... But I did capture it as I was working on distributing the eyes. I think I should have made more eyes for this one and probably put eyes in his palms, but that gave me a kind of sukuna vibes that I did not want to get mistaken with.

The eyes also took me a while to think of because I was changing the opacity of the eyes a lot to get that right kind of psychotic look since the boogeyman so psychotic and sinister.

Anyway, this is all From me for today because I'm pretty tired aready. But good news is that I have a few people asking me for commissions now because I've been active so hopefully I can continue to do that and alos show off a little here on the commissions I potentially have to work on.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope to see you guys in the next few days!
