The smile that comes to my face when I assist in keeping the surroundings clean is indescribable. Such duties are not just professional but also personal.
Today, when I was going to fetch the water, I saw a lot of waste around the area: snack packs, wrappers, and several other things.
I came well-prepared with a small waste bag and thought to tidy the area while I was waiting for water to fill up the containers. Piece by piece, I collected the crinkled, broken, and faded wrappers, small bits of plastic, and other waste that had been strewn in the area. I thought some came with visitors and the rest were blown by the wind.
The job was easy, and the outcome was great. On my way home, I disposed of the contents of the bag right away, claiming to have contributed to the environment since the bag must have made the area a yard cleaner than it was before.
I expect everybody to be responsible while using public places and this would be my message to everyone. When there is a contribution in such little manners, consolidation of such efforts could ensure the Clean Planet program continues forever, and more people will be motivated to participate across the globe in the future.
It does not matter how small the action is; it is one step closer to a cleaner, eco-friendly world. We need to speak the same language and make an effort in this regard. Together we can bring about change! I want to give my Special Greetings to @cleanplanet.
