When we hear people talk about Christmas 🌲 like this it gladdens our hearts because we know that something good is around the corner. Welcome back friends. This is another week for us and we believe that it will be great. I love the topic for this week. Though it sounds somehow funny when I saw it first, but when I gave it a thought I discover that the topic is meant to give me a focus for this Christmas celebration. It might be that in the other year I don't have any idea about what I want to do during the Christmas season, I just sit down and wait for it to come, but for this year I believe that I should have a focus. Plan something ahead and follow that path, within a short period of time, I will achieve it.
Let's go down first to what we think Christmas is all about. If someone should ask you what Christmas is, what will be your response? We have been celebrating Christmas 🎄 for years now, we should have an idea up stairs. Let's talk. Maybe you should drop yours at the comment section while I do all the talking now.
WHAT CHRISTMAS IS AND IS NOT.
I hear some people argue alot about what Christmas is, and I want to put in my own ideas down. For me and from what I have studied so far, Christmas is a period when we remember the birth of Christ who was born to be the savior of the world. Christmas around the globe decided to bring out a day to remember that. It may not really be his birthday, but we have decided to celebrate it on the 25th if December every year. I believe that it is to serve as a reminder to us that someone left his comfort zone, left every good thing he shared with the father to come down here on earth, born by an ordinary woman, he endured and stayed in her womb for nine months without complaining and he also came out when there was no place to keep him except with animals. The first people that saw him and welcomed him with the smell of their house were the animals. What a wonderful thing to do just to save people like us.
MY OWN IDEA OF CHRISTMAS.
Christmas should not be a time when we just eat and drink, put on new clothes, move around town with friends and what have you. Christmas should be a period of reflection for us to see if the reason for his birth has been achieved in my life. It should be a period of subber reflection. A time when people should be crying concerning their lives and make it straight. All of these is what I can't find out during this period. All that people think of is celebrating with themselves. Moving from one state or country to another. Buying new cars, jewelries, houses and what have you. I see most of these things as a deviation from the original purpose of Christmas. Trust me, I love celebration. But we do that when the main reason for the celebration is achieved. How can I celebrate graduation when I have not even gotten admission into the school? Things are not done that way. I believe that our lives should be in check, make necessary amendment, changed our bad characters and then we can go on celebrating.
