Blooms Galore at Buwakan in Alejandra

Recently, during the holidays, I had the opportunity to visit my province in Balamban with my mom. On our way back to the city, we decided to make two stops at destinations I had never been to before. One of these places was Buwakan ni Alejandra, which I'll be sharing about for this blog.

Buwakan ni Alejandra translates to Alejandra's flower garden. The flower garden is located in Gaas, Balamban, Cebu. It features a downward-sloping landscape and a beautiful, refreshing view of the mountains. If you're wondering who Alejandra is (as I was wondering who she is too), she is the mother-in-law of the owner and landscaper of the flower garden.

The garden is beautifully blossoming. I hadn't seen anything quite like it until recently. It looks like a floral paradise, and the only thing missing for me during the day of my visit there was a floral dress, haha.

When the sun hits the flowers, they look so alive and vibrant. It fascinates me how well-maintained this beautiful garden is. Although, there were caretakers during my visit, it's still bewildering to think that there are about 200 kinds of flowers in there. I don't even know the names of each, but I appreciate and love all of them — their different colors, shades, and shapes. But, my favorite is the yellow flowers that look like little corns, hehe.

I was amazed at how big the flower garden is. There are even more flowers downhill.

This view just took my breath away. I felt enchanted and in bliss with the beauty of the natural world. Being here refreshes you differently, especially when you're used to seeing the hustle and bustle of the city — tall buildings, cars, and crowds. It's totally different when everything you see in your line of vision is all-natural. It connects you with nature and makes you feel at peace.

I had seen pictures of the flower garden from social media posts but it's totally different when you see it up close, when you experience it yourself.

Even looking at these flowers made me feel like they were looking back at me and saying hello, haha.

It's good to see the flowers and plants thriving in the mountain. The Balamban can get really foggy and cold sometimes, but the flora in the garden seems best suited for such conditions. Not to mention, the garden has the perfect spot for receiving the right amount of sunlight. I commend the people who are taking care of and preserving them.

The flower garden also looks like it's ideal for photoshoots or a romantic marriage proposals. So, for all the guys out there, this might be worth considering. 😉

Balamban has a lot of beautiful and engaging attractions , from cafes, camp sites, mount viewing and trekking, to many more, but Buwakan ni Alejandra is definitely not to be missed — you'd certainly say "Wow! Alejandra" seeing the bounty of flowers in there. It's conveniently located near the Adventure Cafe and other notable spots along the Transcentral Highway Route.

Isn't it enchanting? If you haven't visited it yet, this is your sign to visit one of these days.
