I suppose we could blame someone else for our lack of focus, or for having so many distractions around us... For you, it's a game you play, for me it's everything that happens around crypto... 😃 All in all, it's tough to keep focus, and when we achieve that, we get into the trap like you did... Doing one thing blocks you from doing the second one (creating-promoting).
At one point, I suppose we have to choose one or another, as being divided into two parts isn't productive and we can't give the most of us...
