Fish Market in Otaru, Hokkaido 🇯🇵

Today was a day of considerable travel. We walked a lot!! First, we had to take the train from Sapporo City, where we were staying, to Otaru City. Otaru City is famous for its seafood ingredients, and we wanted to go to the fish market and eat fresh seafood. It is nice to eat some expensive food, which I could not afford when I was a student, but when I start earning money, I can eat the foods I want. It takes about one hour from Sapporo to Otaru City by train, and the fish market is only five minutes from Otaru Station. I went to the fish market and was surprised to find it filled with ingredients I had never seen before. I was particularly surprised by the size and appearance of the shellfish pictured in the photo, as I had never seen such a large type of shellfish before. We ordered a bowl of rice topped with fresh fish and shellfish and waited about 45 minutes for our meal. It was delicious, and I was delighted 🎵

今日はかなりの移動量がある一日でした。まず、私たちが宿泊している札幌市から小樽市まで電車で移動することになりました。小樽市は海鮮食材が有名で、魚市場に行って新鮮なシーフードを食べたいと考えていました。学生時代には買えなかったちょっと高めの食材も、お金を稼ぎ始めると自分が食べたい食材を食べることが出来るのは嬉しいものです。札幌市から小樽市へは電車で1時間程度で、小樽駅から魚市場へは徒歩、5分程度の立地でした。早速、その魚市場に行ってみたのですが、今まで見たことのない食材に溢れていてびっくりしました。特にびっくりしたのが写真の食材で貝の一種ですがこんなに大きな種類の貝を見たことがなく私もその見た目とサイズにびっくりしていました。色んな新鮮な魚や貝を盛り合わせたどんぶりを注文し、なんと45分ぐらい待って食事をしました。本当に美味しくて、大満足でした🎵
