Hello dear friends
Yesterday I realized that I had forgotten to share some other photos that I had taken, in fact, I celebrated with some of my dearest friends also the women's day in Montemerano in fact I went to the Passaparola tavern, which is practically located in an Ancient Oil Mill, and there I was able to enjoy some meat with potatoes and also some pasta with some delicious mushrooms, I'm sorry to say it but it's always the occasion when I come to these parts to eat in some little place, and for me it was the first time in this place but I must say that in any place in Tuscany you always taste something very homely, something that unfortunately in our times has been lost a bit, especially in the big cities.
But, since I stopped there at my friend's to sleep, honestly we had in mind the next day to go to the famous Saturnia spa, even if you should know that for several years this place where there is this thermal spring of natural water at about 37 degrees and practically accessible to the public for free, Unfortunately for many years they have become really chaotic because of course you can only imagine the fact of trying these spas for free.
So the next day we tried in some way to make a trip there, in fact I'll share some photos that I took, But then given the fact that there were a lot of people, and that it is no longer a place of relaxation, In short, my concept of the spa is to go there and be able to immerse myself in the water and relax.
So we didn't even try this experience, but we headed to Saturnia, it is nearby but there will certainly be fewer people.
But as soon as I arrived, what immediately struck me was the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, with its very beautiful bell tower with all these exposed stones.
You should know that Saturnia which is always located in the province of Grosseto is always located in this Pianoro at about 300 meters above sea level, we are more or less fifty kilometers from Grosseto and this has always been a very important place also because as I had already told you about other places in Tuscany this place also has very ancient origins we are talking about the Bronze Age.
And this place also had its greatest splendor, let's say its greatest development during the medieval period, it was also a land of conquest of the Medici family of Florence, In fact you can see from the photos the medieval architecture, and fortunately a part of the Walls and the access gates to the village They are still intact today, but above all Here there would be some interesting museums to visit which unfortunately were a bit inexplicably closed.
However, I did not lose heart and I took a tour of this beautiful village, but I am always impressed by these architectural constructions with this stone seen some were even under renovation some Unfortunately a bit in pitiful situations, however, many times I say I am lucky because when you go around these places it is like being truly an open-air museum, in every corner in some part of the village you always find things that have a very important relevance both from a historical but also artistic point of view and I think that this is really something almost unique.
I therefore hope that my photos were appreciated, it is very difficult to succeed and immortalize every place because it would really take a week to photograph everything, I hope that you enjoyed it anyway and I thank you as usual for having dedicated the time to reading, See you next time Have a good day everyone
