Us Filipinos are renowned for our resourcefulness, always finding alternative ways to make life easier and more manageable. We are resilient and hardworking people, who will go to great lengths to provide for our families. Today, I stumbled upon a unique cab that caught my attention - it was selling fresh fish. Join me as I share my experience with you.

I was abruptly awakened from a deep sleep last night by the sound of a cab selling fish. It was quite a unique approach, as instead of manually calling out to customers, the seller had brought along large speakers with a pre-recorded voice announcing the types of fish for sale and their corresponding prices.

Years ago, vendors used to roam around the area selling fish, vegetables, and other products by yelling out to catch customers' attention. Nowadays, they carry speakers in their cabs instead of walking around. This is a great improvement because it lightens their load and saves their voices from shouting. It's a unique and creative way of selling their products.

If you can see that white speaker above the cab, it's where they connect the recorded voice of the seller, mentioning the names of the fish they are selling and how much they are selling. It will save a lot of energy, and it will also catch the attention of many buyers since the volume is quite loud, and it indeed woke me up from my sleep. It just passed by along the highway, and since I heard that they were selling some fresh fish, I went out to check what was sold.

I bought two pieces of fish for ₱100 or $2. The price is not that bad because if you're going to think about it, if you're going to go to the market, you would need to pay for your transportation, or if you have your transportation, you will be paying for your gas. So with this, it's passing by within your area, and you don't have to go far to buy fish, and it's a good thing that they sell quality ones and those that are seen on the market.

In addition to their main products, this cab also offers basic ingredients such as onions, garlic, tomatoes, and chili, perfect for making fish soup indeed. The biggest advantage of shopping here is that you don't have to go far to get everything you need. The store's mobile nature means it comes to you, saving you both time and effort that would be spent traveling to a traditional market.

Kudos to the resourceful Filipinos we've encountered on our journey this morning in finding the perfect vayand for breakfast. So happy to see them continue to innovate and improve their businesses, making their lives and the lives of others easier and more convenient. It's important to support these small business owners and buy local whenever possible.

I then went home with my two pieces of fish and did not buy any other ingredients since I was planning to fry it, and since I had cooking oil at home, I did not have any more errands to do. I immediately went home, cleaned the fish, and cooked breakfast.

Hope you all had a wonderful breakfast. Ciao! ☺︎♡
