Come along and check out The spectacular FALLS of FEUGH and the TOLL BRIDGE of FEUGH from 1790 in BANCHORY ~ SCOTLAND 🏴 UK 🇬🇧 with me today. It was late in the day and the sun was slowly setting… on this January winters day. Due to the snow ❄️ #MELTING in the mountains of Scotland, the river was very full and #WILD. The crazy sound was soooo soothing 😌 you can just imagine it looking at my photos 😎

Driving over the bridge to get to the car park first…
I snap this photo out of the window as we drive over it and see the opposite side of the falls.
We parked our car and walk to the information signs 🪧 found next to it.
This one tells you more about the BRIDGE OF FEUGH and that you can see “wild salmon” during July to October returning to their spawning grounds. What means: swimming up stream. 😳
We were here in January in the winter… so it was not the time for spotting wild salmon. 🐟
The next sign tells us more about the cute village of #BANCHORY and what you can do in its surroundings, the falls are at the bottom.
We walk towards the bridge and falls. I see the sign of the #footbridge, we can safely watch the river and falls there without disturbing cars crossing the toll bridge. 😎
I like this photo… the warm colours of the setting sun ☀️ makes it #magical.
We see right away the river feugh and its #WATERFALLS on the left. WOW 🤩 just look at it.
The force of the water streaming down over the rocks 🪨 CRAZY WILD.
Looking along the falls up river and taking in the landscape.
We walk slowly further over the bridge.
In the middle of the footbridge we have this view 🥰 so sooooo beautiful. Just look at the light 🤩 (I have part of this photo as background on my phone)
We are now on the other side of the footbridge. We can see the bends upriver.
Let’s look at the falls closer by. Just see the force 🌊
I like the falls of FEUGH. Especially with so much water in the river right now.
I am sure you can imagine the sounds I am hearing right now 😎
The bare trees around us, some with a few leaves 🍂 left shine in the sunset 🌇 the sun also reflecting on the splashed up water in the river.
We walk further fully across the footbridge now.
We take a look at the view. You see more of the footbridge.
Next to the footbridge we find this beautiful #SCULPTURE 🖤❤️
The little sign telling us the following:
We love Falls of Feugh footbridge just the way it is.
So please don't attach #padlocks because their #weight can damage the parapets.
Instead, why not make your love stronger than a padlock?
Take a #selfie with the sculpture and secure it forever.
Be part of the #LoveWithoutLocks story by uploading your selfie to social media, and remember to use the hashtag.
This so makes sense in every way if you have seen bridges with padlocks everywhere.
So we did TAKE A #SELFIE, and didn’t put it on social media hahaha 🤣 and not because of the sign told us to do it either. We just wanted to anyway as we were moving countries (SPAIN TO SCOTLAND) and wanted to remember this moment of our road trip. 😎
Standing on the other side of the river we have a better view at the #TOLLBRIDGE from 1790. Look at the beautiful arches.
Imagine this bridge being sooo old and still in daily use. 🤓
Pretty awesome I would say 😎 a close up of one of the arches.
On our way back over the bridge of course we take a few more photographs 📸
What a location! Do put it on your to visit places as the falls and the bridge you shouldn’t miss.
The wild river… 😎
It is getting darker fast.
We walk back to the parking 🅿️ area and I capture the TOLLBRIDGE through the trees 🌳 We can’t get close from this side as there is a house 🏡 and its garden we can’t enter.
I see some details around me… yes even the dead fruits of this shrubbery are beautiful.
