Performers and audiences from the different year level gathered on the open ground. The main performers and artists participated in the event were learners themselves. They invested time and effort preparing for several weeks. Their hard work and dedication was very evident and in the quality of their presentations.
Part 1: The evident was divided into 2 parts which the first one was allotted witness the different dance genre performance of the learners.
(Grade 7 ) – The Grade 7 learners performs the Habanera Botolena, a folk dance in the Philippines which expresses the fusion of Spanish and Filipino culture through symbolic hand, graceful footwork , expressive facial expressions, music and costume.
(Grade 8 ) – The Grade 8 representatives showcase an elegant performances of the different style of ballroom dances. It is a set of partner dances enjoyed both socially around the world. They had a short performances of waltz, tango, chacha and quickstep.
(Grade 9) – The Grade 9 learners proudly performs the Agbunan Festival of Bohol. It is one of the traditional celebration in Bohol that shows their culture, tourism and agriculture. The festival also emphasizes the relevance of taking care and preserving the environment and promote sustainable agriculture practices.
(Grade 10) – The grade 10 learners provided 2 energetic hiphop performances. This genre is known for its playful and energetic feels. They used remixed trendy music that hyped up both the performers and audiences.
Part 2: The event also had a gallery walk for the different artworks from the learners.
The atmosphere of the whole event was energetic and electric. The learners were very excited and proud showcasing their performance. The audience were also very enthusiastic and supportive, some even made a banner for their representatives. The energy was truly memorable and a great experience for anyone involved.
The learners’ talent, preparation and hard work for the event paid off in many ways. They successfully showcase their beautiful performances and artworks while, gained confidence and experience while doing juggling the event. The culmination was not just a simple event but was an opportunity for the learners to learn and develop social skills such as collaboration and teamwork.
