Hi guys! Welcome to my post for my new entry for this week's Splinterland art Challenge.
My entry today is Underboss Fabino, an earth element summoner who will really beat down your opponent when you use him in battle.
Source: Splinterlands.com
This is one of the new summoners from the Rebellion pack, with really cool buffs.
You can choose between the poison buff that he can give to one of the opponent's units or the +2 melee attack that he can give to 2 monster units.
Your opponent will really get beaten up. Underboss Fabino really gives off that gangster vibe.
My artwork:
I used a new drawing style for my entry this week. I thought since Fabino is Mafia, it would be nice if he came from the darkness so I decided to use a cloudy black background.
I also decided to focus on using a rough feeling brush to make my outlines look like sketches.
So the first thing I did was to draft the character I wanted. Since Fabino is only depicted as half body in Splinter Lore, I decided to draw him as a whole body.
I drew a chubby figure, really looking like a greedy boss.
After the rough sketch, I slowly started drawing Fabino's features.
After I finished my outline sketch, I colored the character's base color.
After doing the base color, I started shading, trying to darken the sides to make it look dim.
Once I colored everything, I created the background with cloudy black and violet colors.
To finish my artwork, I used the rough brush to thicken the black outline.
Tada! My artwork is done!
I hope you liked my artwork and the story of how I drew it.
