Praying According To God's Commandments. MCGI Cares Topic Review

Isaiah 65:24 (KJV) And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Brethren, our God answers prayers. This is a non-negotiable truth. He promised us in His words that He will answer when we call. He is the one who told us to call upon Him. He knows that the world we are living in is a wicked one. He knows that there are problems and challenges confronting us. But He is loving and merciful to answer us when we call.

James 4:3 (KJV) Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Why most people pray and their prayers are not answered is because they do not pray according to the commandments of God. Walking with God requires discipline. We must discipline ourselves to obey His commandments. If we expect Him to hear us when we pray, let us follow the teachings of the Bible on the right way to pray.

Bro Eli Soriano has explained to us from the MCGI Mass Indoctrination how we should pray for God to listen and answer.

    We should avoid vain repetitions

Matthew 6:7 (KJV) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

When we come to pray, let us understand that God is more willing to hear and answer us than we are even willing to pray. The Bible says we should avoid vain repetitions. It also says we should be careful how we speak before God.

We should not pray like the hypocrites

Matthew 6:5 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

The hypocrites dramatize their prayers for men to see. They desire men's recommendations and applause. We should not be like that. We should be truthful and sincere in our prayers. Our hearts should be focused on God when we are praying not on men.

We should pray with clean hearts

Proverbs 15:8 (KJV) The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

We should come before God with a heart devoid of offenses against our fellowman. We should cleanse our hearts of malice and deceptions. We should forgive others when we come to pray. God will not listen to the prayers of the sinful.

We should practice discipline when we are praying

Prayer is communicating with God. We need to be disciplined and orderly before God when praying. We should concentrate when talking to God. Kneeling down during prayers is what we should practice.

May God help us to be obedient to His guidelines for prayers. Thank you for your time in reading.
