Fiction Writing Based On A Bible Verse

Passage: The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering presented to the LORD. It is a guilt offering.

I'm going to write a story based on this passage that was given to me by a random Bible Verses generator.

The sound of painful screams. A voice that shook every cell of the body and was able to take the soul out of the body and send it to hell. This voice belonged to the vampires and witches that priest Cyrus Saint was roasting on the altar.

"O vile creatures, you low spirits whose souls are contaminated with sin, your flesh will be cooked and burned in this fire on this altar. You will be food to offer to the Lord. In this way, He will remove your sins from you and forgive your refined souls."

Cyrus stood there and let his ears fill with screams, his nose fill with the smell of burning, and his eyes fill with the heart-wrenching sight.

After a while, the screams died down and only an unrecognizable mass of victims remained. With a calm face, Cyrus went to the altar and collected the remains of the sinners and poured them into a large container.

Then he took them with him to the cemetery behind the church and rolled up his sleeves and took a shovel and started digging graves for them. Cyrus was not muscular and was not built for physical activity. But when he sweated and his heart rate increased, he felt closer to God.

As he was busy digging the soil, he felt the weight of a gaze on him. He turned his face and saw a tall muscular man standing a few meters away and staring at him.

The man flinched as if his wrist had been grabbed and blinked several times.
"Good day, Holy Father. May I help you dig the grave?"

    Cyrus smiled.
"Thank you for your favor, my child. Physical activity brings my soul closer to the throne, so I prefer to do the work of the grave myself.

But I would be grateful if you sit here and read the verses of the Bible to forgive the souls of these cursed creatures."

The man was illiterate, but he was ashamed to admit it. So he took the Bible from the priest and sat down next to the half-finished pit and pretended to read the verses as the priest was digging.

Some time passed like this, and Cyrus finally finished digging the grave and dumped the remains of witches and vampires into the pit. Then he took the shovel again and wanted to pour soil into the pit, when a voice came from his back and he moaned, and the shovel fell from his hand to the ground.

The burly man immediately stood up and walked over to Cyrus and grabbed his arm.
"Father, come sit here and rest. I will fill the grave."

    "Thank you, my child."

It was night and Cyrus was lying on his bed. His long silver hair flowed like a waterfall on his pillow and the moonlight shone in from the window and illuminated his white marble face.

Cyrus crossed his arms over his chest and thought about the burly man. Tall, broad shoulders, wheatish skin and a chiseled chest.

Cyrus' heart beat increased and drops of sweat settled on his skin. As if he had picked up a shovel again and was digging hard soil.

He got up and drank cold water from the bowl next to his bed to calm down. Then he closed his eyes and started saying the holy verses and gradually fell asleep.

The next day, the burly man named Abraham came to the church and asked Cyrus to hire him to do the physical work of the church. Cyrus saw him as a simple, honest and kind-hearted man, so he did not hesitate to hire him.

He did not know that behind Abraham's kind face laid an avenging angel, waiting for a suitable opportunity to stick his head out from among his wings and burn Cyrus in the fire of his vengeance.

On a hot summer day, Abraham made some syrup for Cyrus.
"Here you are, Father. Drink to make your throat fresh."

Cyrus smiled and took the glass of syrup from Abraham.
    "Thank you, my child."

Cyrus suddenly woke up. An intense excruciating heat engulfed his body and he blinked in confusion, trying to understand what was going on.

When he realized that he was tied to the altar and the flames were burning under his body, he screamed in panic and asked for help.

Then he saw Abraham who was standing in front of him and was looking at him with a face full of hatred.

Abraham said in a cold voice:
"The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering presented to the LORD. It is a guilt offering."
