Hi all, good day to all of you. It's time again for Community Engagement Challenge. Today's challenge topic is on sharing of Custom Sets. This is something that benefits card owners and rent goers. So let's look into this feature that was made available for players.

In a play2earn domain, there are many kind of players, there are hardcore players and there are also card lords, whom own a tonne of cards and earn through renting out their collection. And with custom sets, it benefits the card lords big time.
This is because, you no longer need to pay 1 DEC per card that you list, you just need to list your cards as a set which is way more convenient and cost effective because renting out 1 set is listed at 1 DEC.
Players
And to the other spectrum, for players, it will be easier for you to rent cards as a set which differs from trying to rent and renew so many cards at one go which can be a hassle.
This is a win-win for card owners and players whom want to rent cards.
How To Access Custom Sets
On the top left hard corner of your screen, click on Market and from the dropdown select set rentals.
After clicking that, you will see this landing page for set rentals:
On this page, you can see four categories for set rental: Chaos Legion (Core & Reward), Riftwatchers (Expansion), Rebellion (Core) and Custom. While the earlier 3 categories contain pre built sets for the various expansion. What we will be focusing today will be the custom sets.
When we click into the Custom Set list, there is already a list of sets available for rental at a super affordable rate.
While indeed there are many custom sets designed by others available for rent, this is not what I want to cover specifically on. These may be good for general rental, but I want to share more on how the custom portion can do better for you.
Building Your Own Custom Set
Toggling from rent, it is time to create your own sets. Click on create and this will be the interface that you see:
From there, you can use filters to narrow down your selection by mana cost, ability, splinter, or edition. And there are also autofill tools that can help speed up your process of building up the set by suggesting optimized cards based on your preferences. From there, you can name your set clearly wit certain characteristics to help navigate to them instantly.
Auto fill:
For those who love tournament play or ranked climbing, we cannot be just battle with a small set of cards. To have ourselves maximized to have cards catered for each ruleset, custom set become instrumental and allow you to have what you need in match without forcing you to use a sub par lineup which can be prone to losing.
If you need a specific set of cards suited for a particular league based on what you are lacking. Custom sets is also there to help you.
Further Benefits for players
Having custom sets also bring about the following benefits:
Adjusting rental set based on new acquired cards - Once you've acquired new cards, you can just edit your rental set and exclude that new bought card
Testing out new combinations and strategies - Renting as a set can help you test out cards that are less rented or less used which can give you a surprise combo that you might not know off and if they are just totally un-used, you can just edit and remove those cards.
Shuffling brawl frays - Sometimes when a brawl is oversubscribed within a guild, we might need to play a different fray from our usual in order to still fill up the brawl and this is where custom sets come in handy for us to toggle our rental and ensure we have what we need for the brawl or even tournaments.
Wrap Up
Time is money. And having a tool that is optimized for its purpose to optimize your gameplay is just so good. It might be just a simple tool but people whom have been here for a long while know that card rental can be great on a good day and a nightmare when you can't get what you want and you truly will struggle if a particular piece is not available. Having things coming in a set will just allow you to have all angles covered and not panicking for all the wrong reasons during a match.
