Since the start of this year, until today, no one month was as hectic as the month of March. Very time consuming and tremendously enervating. And the bulk of the stress(I don't exactly like to use that word - stress) was from school. As a result of varying workload.
UnsplashNow it wasn't like the whole month had that energy. it was only about a week. The one leading up to the Easter festivities. Beginning from the midweek of Palm Sunday through to Good Friday weekend. Everything happened so fast.
So it happened that I had back-to-back tests to write, then there were manuals to fill on varying courses, then there were assignments to tend to. All of these should have been no problem to handle but for the issuesl that the deadline given for remittal was short and within same time frame. It was like bring bombarded from all corners and that was a marathon.
For the manual fillings, in one course, Physiology, I had to write multiple reports. If my memories don't fail me, i think they were about seven in total. To think that I had never written a report ever and the number of pages to cover, per report, was bulky.
Then, there was Anatomy with the diagrams. I can't draw to save my life. I can manage to sketch basic diagrams that even toddlers can, but not any as I was given at school. Talk about drawing different bones, the cranium, the heart, the sternum and all of other components of the upper limb. All of which I counted to be about twenty-four drawings in total. I was almost thrown off balance.
Partly confused about which to start yet and exactly where to begin. I assure you, they were a lot.
I dont even want to talk about assignments given with specific modifications expected. Tests are equally important but at that time, I thought so little about it. I want to even think that I got off lucky and easy with the tests considering that the few pages of my books which i barely managed to study against the assessment, those were where the questions popped from. It was a little bit of a sweet relief.
Ha! Sleep was an illusion. Only in my head. Days ran fast, nights were faster. I didn't even get to use my phone save for checking whatever was related to my workload. And yes, I was away from here for that period long. Aesy from this space even. I could have managed somehow with here, but, well.....
How I got through with handling all of those and delivering to my satisfaction, even as I can be quite dogged, I can't recall nor explain but that's behind now. Going home for the break helped with some much needed rest too.
Things have just been going the way they are ever since. Mostly having crests and a few troughs and it's been pretty cool. More like, each day proving better than the last.
