The Rapid urbanization that every city on the planet is making is something that is very commendable and it is also a very good reminder of the development that we are making in the way of progress that is visible in every sector and that has been the story for almost every City regardless of the speed at which it is happening but it is something that is happening in every place of the world.
The investment that is being made towards having a better and modern future including all of the infrastructure that is going to be very essential as well as also effective for the citizens of the nation has been one of the goals of the Government of almost every country of the planet and that has made sure that the development has been in a face wise manner which is going to be addressing the issues that are most addressable in the particular order for the people who are facing those issues.
But in the middle of all of this, there are a lot of issues that still exist despite all of these factors of the positives that are involved in the name of development as so as everything that is happening around it and that has been one of the biggest issues that citizens of many countries are facing because of which it has led to a lot of problems which is why the development that is been made in terms of infrastructure as the social element has been played by this particular thing which has also hindered the growth of that Infra development as well as also left a lot of things that were meant to be useful for citizens useless.
If I talk about my own City then Kolkata is really one of the prime cities of India and it has been also the capital of the country in the past and it has always had a lot of planning that was involved while building the Antarctic as well as also developing new sectors within the original territory self while expanding on the new ones as well which has made it something which has cause it to have a tag of one of the fastest growing cities in the country as well as also have a very big impact on the things that that happening within the country and also has a big stay on the economy of the nation is well but all of these things are now think of a past because Kolkata has no lost all of these crowns and achievements that it had in the previous generation and the things that it used to be known for.
Kolkata has a lot of things within itself most of which have not fully feeling the capacity required to fulfill the actual demand that the city has for the people within itself from the public transportation as well as the necessities which involve a lot of other things as well as in very poor condition which has left a very bad impact on the citizens of the city itself but also for the people who are even considering to move into the city and stay over here and explore the opportunities that are available over here but because of the conditions it has become a bit hard to make the decision and get it done.
There is a very big percentage of people in Kolkata who use public transportation on a very regular basis and one of the most used methods of public transportation over here is the bus that runs across the city in almost every direction and that is also because of the absence of metro services in many parts of the city at the cell and that is also a story within itself but apart from that one of the things that are very poor about the city is the very bad management of traffic and all of which leads to a very bad traffic flow which takes a very long amount of time to complete a same amount of distance which would have taken a lot lesser time in comparison to various other cities in the country its self and that is a really big problem for sure.
The metro services over here were the first ever in the country itself which started in 1984 but right now every Metro project that happened in other cities in the country has overtaken the Kolkata metro in terms of expansion as well as the number of stations and everything that it connects within the city and that is also a massive shame because it is a very big lead which it lost in comparison to the other cities such as Delhi Mumbai Lucknow and other cities something that it would have worked on and right now as well there is a lot of such key solution that is missing as well as a lot of metro lines are being worked upon since years and it is still said that it will take decades to complete and fully be operational.
On top of all of these things, there are a lot of smaller but even more important things that are been overlooked in the city which include water supply as well as waste management because having a clean environment, especially with the availability of water supply access is something that is needed to be happening at a strain able measure and that is also very non exist in many parts of the city which surely is a very big problem as waste management is needed to be operated at a very fundamental level and that is also going to affect the basic Public Health as well as environment of the city as well which is something that is getting usually affected because of this.
The level of Bureaucracy that exists within the city of Kolkata is one of the biggest and highest in the entire country because there are a lot of such scenarios where politics take over even away the head of the public interest and that is been played as a tool which is going to ensure that is going to win them the next round of elections and just for that sake the take such decisions which are probably going overboard and also not in the public interest and they have been happening in the city for so long and is also one of the primary reason as a lot of experts believe so for the downfall of Kolkata.
Kolkata, all in all, needs a total shift in itself which is going to be happening in almost every sector from the public services apart from the things that include transportation as well as the necessities that humans need to be living within a city as well as also providing them that particular environment where they feel safe as well as having that mindset of productivity which day can be implementing later on that will help them contribute within the city itself and later on that will make sure that the city is contributing to the country's economy as well because right now Kolkata is falling of the charts and just getting its rank lower and lower with every passing year in the city's list which contributes most to the economy.
It is just a matter of time and proper governments which the city needs because the city has a lot of potential because it has been one of the prime cities of the country and it has just lost at charm but it is never Tu let and it can begin its work to repair itself which is also evident many places right now as well as it is trying to get back up and also compete with the other cities in the country but it has already lost white a lot of lead that it had but surely it can even still make its come back and we might be seen that happened in the upcoming decades are so and I'll be loving to see that as well personally.
