HI EVERYONE
I show you a sponge cake made of cocoa, oats and cambur; I made it for an afternoon snack because I felt like eating something sweet, it is a fairly easy process and also takes few ingredients, although you can also add sultanas or almonds and it will be even tastier, I made it in an improvised way because those ingredients are the ones I have at home, as I liked how it turned out then I will most likely do it again and I will take the opportunity to add some dried fruit to improve the recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- Three beaten eggs
- Half a cup of oat flakes, I left them whole but you can also pulverise the oats in a blender.
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- Half a cup of mashed banana
- 2 tablespoons sugar
PROCEDURE
I start by mashing the banana and as it is a soft fruit I do it with the help of a fork, to this banana mash I add the two spoonfuls of sugar, and mix very well. I do this to make the sponge even sweeter, but you can skip adding the sugar or simply replace it with two spoonfuls of honey.
In a container, add all the ingredients and start stirring with the help of balloon whisk or a hand mixer, you can also use a blender and the sponge cake will be just as good.
As it is a mixture with small quantities, I use a 20 cm diameter frying pan and cook the sponge cake on the cooker, set the minimum temperature and cover it, it cooks quite quickly.
The smell tells you when the sponge cake is ready, it should be ready in about fifteen minutes, but you can also test it by pricking it with a knife or toothpick.
It has an intense chocolate flavour and a smooth texture!.... Exquisite!

Exquisito!
