Mizk occupies an important place in the lives of many of us and we tend to include Music in almost all our activities. Many of us prefer to listen to music according to our current mood. Additionally, many studies already say that music has a positive effect on our health.
The British Academy of Sound Therapy (BAST) and Deezer conducted a study to find out whether tthere was a common dosage for music and how long one needed to listen for a therapeutic effect to be experienced. The research reveals the recommended daily allowance of music for various moods, how it affects people, and what types of music are commonly used to achieve this.
7,581 participants took part in the study, and the research reveals that 89% of participants think music is essential for their health and/or wellbeing. Although it is a very large proportion, it is frankly not surprising because there is no doubt that Music plays an important role in our daily lives.
Other results found in the research are as follows;
- 90.15% used music to relax
- 81.80% to make them happy
- 46.5% to process and/or release sadness
- 32.53% to aid concentration
In addition, according to the research report, it was determined that the best music for relaxation was slow-tempo, simple melody and without words, and the optimum listening time was 13 minutes. And it is revealed that it has many benefits such as "decreased muscle tension, negative thoughts disappearing, feeling peaceful and contented and being able to sleep better".
