Hello my dear friends! I hope you are very well. Today I'm here to share with you my small collection of World Cup sticker albums, which I collected when I was a child and which I still keep with great affection and try to keep them as careful as possible. In this first part, it's a great pleasure for me to share my first 2 albums corresponding to the Korea-Japan 2002 and Germany 2006 World Cups, which are beautiful and bring back many memories.
¡Hola, mis queridos amigos! Espero estén muy bien. Hoy estoy por aquí para compartir con ustedes mi pequeña colección de álbumes de barajitas de los mundiales de fútbol, los cuales coleccionaba cuando era niña los cuales todavía guardo con mucho cariño y trato de mantenerlos lo más cuidados posible. En esta primera parte, es un gran placer para mí compartir mis 2 primeros álbumes correspondientes a los mundiales Corea-Japón 2002 y Alemania 2006 los cuales son hermosos y me traen muchos recuerdos.
We start with the album corresponding to the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup which I collected with my dad when I was 10 years old, and as you can see it's very beautiful, especially the first pages which, in addition to containing holographic stickers with photos of the ball, pet, cup and official logo, they also come with stickers with photos of the stadiums, which were divided into 2 parts so we were careful to stick them so that they looked as good as possible. I remember our favorite team was Brazil so we celebrated a lot when they won the cup that year, my favorite players were Ronaldo and Rivaldo so I was very happy when they both lifted the cup. Other teams that I really liked at that time were France (with Zinedine Zidane on the team), England (with David Beckham on the team), Portugal, Mexico and Argentina (although Messi wasn't playing yet hahaha).
Empezamos por el álbum correspondiente al Mundial Corea-Japón 2002 el cual coleccioné junto a mi papá cuando tenía 10 años, y como pueden ver es muy bonito, en especial las primeras páginas las cuales además de contener stickers holográficos con las fotos del balón, mascota, copa y logotipo oficial, también traen stickers con fotos de los estadios, los cuales se dividían en 2 partes por lo que éramos cuidadosos en pegarlos para que se vieran lo mejor posible. Recuerdo que nuestro equipo favorito era Brasil así que festejamos bastante cuando ganaron la copa ese año, mis jugadores favoritos eran Ronaldo y Rivaldo, así que me puse muy feliz cuando ambos alzaron la copa. Otros equipos que me gustaban mucho en aquella época eran Francia (con Zinedine Zidane en el equipo), Inglaterra (con David Beckham en el equipo), Portugal, México y Argentina (aunque todavía no jugaba Messi jajaja).
We continued with the Germany 2006 album, which I was also able to collect with my dad 4 years later. For me this was a really exciting World Cup although I didn't like that Italy won because I was supporting France in the final hahaha. Despite the final result, I really enjoyed that final because among the artists who sang in the musical presentation was my favorite singer Shakira, and it was also the last World Cup in which my favorite French player Zinedine Zidane played, who received the Golden Ball award. Other of my favorite teams were Portugal (with Cristiano Ronaldo on the team), England (with David Beckham on the team), Germany, Argentina (now, with Lionel Messi hahaha) and Mexico. It's a very beautiful album and I think that of the two, it's the one in the best condition. I remember that to fill it we had to exchange repeated stickers in a shopping center because we got quite a few duplicates and the packages were a little expensive, and although it was a little more complex to collect than the previous one, the effort was worth it because the stickers are beautiful, especially the holographic ones on the first page and the ones with the logos of each of the teams.
Continuamos con el álbum de Alemania 2006, el cual pude coleccionar también con mi papá 4 años después. Para mí este fue un mundial realmente emocionante aunque no me gustó que Italia ganara ya que yo le iba a Francia en la final jajaja. A pesar del resultado final, disfruté mucho esa final ya que entre los artistas que cantaron en la presentación musical estuvo mi cantante favorita Shakira, y también fue el último mundial en el que jugó mi jugador francés favorito Zinedine Zidane el cual recibió el premio del Balón de Oro. Otros de mis equipos favoritos fueron Portugal (con Cristiano Ronaldo en el equipo), Inglaterra (con David Beckham en el equipo), Alemania, Argentina (ahora sí, con Lionel Messi jajaja) y México. Es un álbum muy bonito y creo que de ambos, es el que en mejores condiciones está. Recuerdo que para llenarlo tuvimos que intercambiar stickers repetidos en un centro comercial ya que nos salían bastantes repetidas y los paquetes eran un poco costosos, y aunque fue un poco mas complejo de coleccionar que el anterior, el esfuerzo valió la pena porque los stickers son bonitos, en especial los holográficos de la primera página y los que tienen los logotipos de cada uno de los equipos.
Although I'm not a die-hard football fan like my dad is, I really enjoyed collecting these albums with him and I love keeping them after so many years, there was also a time when we collected them online (the Brazil 2014 World Cup albums and Russia 2018), however, in the last World Cup (Qatar 2022) we had the opportunity to buy the physical album again and it made me a little nostalgic to collect it with my dad again because it brought back very nice memories of my childhood. On a future occasion it will be a pleasure to share my other 2 albums from South Africa 2010 and Qatar 2022 which are as beautiful as these, as it was to have been able to share these 2, which are very dear to me.
Aunque yo no soy fan a morir del fútbol como lo es mi papá, realmente disfruté coleccionar estos álbumes con él y me encanta conservarlos después de tantos años, también hubo un tiempo en que los coleccionamos online (los álbumes de los mundiales de Brasil 2014 y Rusia 2018) sin embargo, en el mundial pasado (Qatar 2022) tuvimos la oportunidad de comprar el álbum en físico nuevamente y me dio un poco de nostalgia coleccionarlo con mi papá nuevamente porque me trajo muy lindos recuerdos de mi infancia. En una próxima oportunidad será un placer compartir mis otros 2 álbumes de Sudáfrica 2010 y Qatar 2022 los cuales son tan bonitos como estos, así como lo fue haber podido compartir estos 2, los cuales son muy queridos para mi.
