Hive needs to generate in-house influencers

    The idea of hive network going viral and more public is really a good one. It is necessary if this chain is to ascertain the needed height and a global reputation. We have seen web 3.0 networks continue to surface to promote the next dimension of businesses, social media presence, financing, gaming and several others courtesy of decentralization.

    Hive has not been behind in any of this. I have been on this platform for a while now and I must say I keep learning and understanding more about the system as days pass by. Competition is inevitable when trying to promote your product or service to the public especially when there are already grand rooted organizations to displace in the process. I have read several articles and seen lots of proposals on how to get this chain moving and it has been a mix.

    Some have been great, others have been 'not too bad' and the rest just in the middle. Nevertheless, as I would say, no man is an island of knowledge as every idea can be improved upon. From the idea of running several campaigns and promotions to increase our user base to introductions of new features to capture user presence and several others.

    We have seen the encouragements to use our web 2.0 accounts mostly X(formerly twitter) to enlighten the audience of what is actually happening on hive. Inasmuch as its an opportunity, it may also help slag our ecosystem as we are advertising web3 in a web2 platform. Most of the information conveyed here is first sourced from the web2 platforms before reaching us here.

    When user's come from external platforms and seem not to readily see what they need they might return and also it even takes the presence of our committed community members to other platforms in the process of advertising and staying up to date. I have heard several user's giving the complaints that the UI of our front ends are not being very friendly, something that I must say the teams have been working diligently to improve upon.

    I have also heard the ideas of bringing in external influencers to help promote the hive brand. Another fantastic idea because we know these people have lots of followers which they could easily convince to join the hive platform. But I was personally thinking, what if these influencers were in-house? Wouldn't it be much better if someone who knows much about the system defends the system? We have to understand that external bodies may just be here for the interest and commissions they can earn but for true lovers of this chain, the reverse will always be the case. How can an influencer defend the chain in our absence? What proofs and experience about the web3 network does he have?

    Have you ever imagined if all the active users of this platforms own external businesses that was backed by hive? and tokens like Leo for transactions?. Let's say for instance, I own an ice-cream outlet as an active user on hive and I decided to trade my products for Hive token and Leo. A customer branched to buy with his dollars and saw that notice pasted in front of my outlet and asked, what is hive and Leo? The belief that before you accept to exchange it for your product is a true proof of value which encourages them to dig deeper.

    We know its takes a few minutes to open an hive account and get it running. Best of all, the user can make some hive and Leo without investing a dime into the system, only time and devotion is needed. If he is a lover of ice cream and can get the money through the platform for free and also exchange it for physical products or services, what do you think? I personally think we have entirely captured that user.

    We have given him a new home and a new business mindset. He goes home to tell one or two friends about the experience he had in an ice cream outlet and they'll be compelled to join. From transaction, they will venture into the system to see that hive is even beyond transaction, it's a new home for everything valuable. Just spread these idea across several businesses that our users own and you'll be driving results beyond imagination.

    Just as it happened above, too much talk was not involved, just a notice that triggered an interest. Exception of her first being in the hive (online platform), that business premises was hive in the offline world. The customer was already inside our system and could not resist taking advantage of the presented opportunity. The advantage here for hive is that the user did not even go through other social media to find us, he found us through us.

    I guess a lot needs to be invested into this area of generating our own influencers using a business model pattern rather than entirely depend on online recruiting activities. I have been planning this but it needs some funds to put a little standard to business to show the trustworthiness and reliance customers should have on the hive chain. I guess we all need to look into this sector and see how we could raise internal lovers of this ecosystem to defend the system rather than carry our value to beg external bodies. We know what we want to build and it is us that can defend it most.

    To conclude, let me add, influencers play a vital role in promoting a product or service. Better still, it becomes more valuable if it is from the in-house. There is an opportunity for us to leverage all lovers of this platform to get the needed attention gradually and independent from passing through third parties. We can't afford to lose users to our competitors because we are passing through their channels. Seeing is believing and one of the ways to promote hive is to make new user know a reference point of this project proofing that there is a much brighter future for the hive ecosystem.
