Hello, dear friends, After recovering a bit from the flu that had struck me over the past few days, I probably did something quite crazy. Since the company I work for informed me that some clients had canceled their appointments for the week and, as a result, my vacation was moved up, and because I really wanted to take a nice trip to some beautiful destination (it's been so long since I last did), I made a last-minute decision to return to London after several years. London is truly a city I’m madly in love with. At one point in my life, I even wanted to move there to live and work for a while, but unfortunately, many things didn’t materialize, and in the end, I stayed in Italy. But let’s say that whenever I have the chance, I love visiting because I find it an artistically beautiful destination. However, I’m sure it must have changed over the years and won’t be the same London I knew so long ago. The flight cost me quite a bit, compared to some low-cost options, but sometimes it’s better to choose a more reasonable schedule. Unfortunately, many low-cost flights either leave very early in the morning or late at night. Naturally, I’ll be posting a series of updates about London, and I’ll definitely focus on Christmas markets in some of them. The only other time I visited during the winter was for New Year’s Eve, so I had already missed the Christmas season. I’m very excited to be here at this time of year. By the way, I landed at the airport near the City, and the first thing I did was take a walk around the Liverpool Street area. Despite the bad weather and rain—a common occurrence, though not my favorite—London remains endlessly charming with its unique architecture and those gorgeous double-decker buses that I absolutely adore. Thankfully, I came prepared for the rain, and the weather is supposed to improve in the coming days. I plan to visit some truly stunning places in this city, so stay tuned for more interesting updates. I hope you’ve enjoyed my first photos. See you in my next post, and I wish you all a wonderful weekend! [//]:# ([//]:# (!worldmappin 51.51820 lat -0.08171 long d3scr))
I departed from Milan Linate airport because I found a flight with a schedule that suited me well. I must say, the journey went smoothly, even though, as you can see from the photos, the weather wasn’t great.
