Nos fuimos a la playa con motivo de la celebración del cumpleaños de mi gran amiga Karla.
¿Qué tiene de especial?
Todo en nosotros es especial 💐🎉🎀
First, despite living in the same city, it is very difficult for us to see each other; I think that adult life absorbs us and although in our student life, we lived almost like me in her house (and I'm not exaggerating) because we saw all the subjects together and well, we had to prepare the material, help, study and it was normal to be in the same space 😊, in working life we only keep in touch virtually 😔.
Now, to schedule an appointment we have to know each other's schedules, the activities we have, the commitments we have and we almost always coincide on birthdays because that's when we say yes or yes we must share together to celebrate life!
This outing to the beach was scheduled for a week, so it had to happen and those of us who were invited attended in a disciplined manner for the meeting that we enjoyed to the maximum.

Primero, a pesar de vivir en la misma ciudad, se nos hace muy díficil vernos; creo que la vida de adulta nos absorbe y aunque en nuestra vida estudiantil, viviamos casi que yo en su casa (y no exagero) porque todas las materias las veíamos juntas y bueno, debíamos preparar el material, ayudar, estudiar y era normal ya estar en el mismo espacio 😊, en la vida laboral solo nos mantenemos en contacto de manera virtual 😔.
Ahora, para programar una cita debemos saber los horarios de cada una, las actividades que tenemos, los compromisos apartes y casi siempre coincidimos en los cumpleaños porque es cuando decimos si o si debemos compartir juntas para ¡Celebrar la vida!
Esta salida a la playa la programamos por una semana, así que debía darse y los convocados asistimos disciplinadamente para el encuentro que disfrutamos al máximo.
What else is so special about it?
Well, Karla and I are celebrating 20 years of friendship this year. We can say it's easy, and for us it was. It all started back in 2004 when we started the same semester at the university and in the same room (because there were many sections, a total mess). Although at the beginning we didn't empathise, we respected each other academically and I think that helped us to continue working the following semesters.
So, if it's not 20 birthdays celebrated together, at least it should be like 15 🤣 and we both like to celebrate it so we prepare very well every year to do something special and when she doesn't go to her city, her closest friends try to give her a treat so that she feels like that _in family_.

¿Qué más tiene de especial?
Bueno, que Karla y yo este año celebramos 20 años de amistad. Podemos decir que es fácil y pues para nosotras si lo fue. Todo inició por allá por el 2004 cuando iniciamos el mismo semestre en la universidad y en el mismo salón (porque habían muchas secciones, un total desastre). Aunque al principio no empatizamos, nos respetamos académicamente y creo que eso nos ayudo a seguir trabajando los semestres siguientes.
Por eso, si no son 20 cumpleaños celebrados juntas, al menos deben ser como 15 🤣 y a las dos nos gusta celebrarlo así que nos preparamos muy bien cada año para hacer algo especial y cuando ella no va a su ciudad, sus amigos más cercanos tratamos de hacerle su agasajo para que se sienta así _ en familia_.
This year we decided it was a year to celebrate, so starting it with this meeting was the opening to start planning what's to come of meetings and special dates 💯.
How did we do? We had a good time. I always think that it's not the place but who we share it with and we really had a great time. At first the site was a beach that is very fashionable, but I suggested a beach that I had already talked about on other occasions and I said it was cheaper, quiet, clean, there was parking, attention from the restaurants, in short, there were so many points in favour that we decided on this second beach and it was fine.

Este año decidimos que era de celebrarlo así que iniciarlo con esta reunión fue el abreboca para ir planificando lo que se nos viene de encuentros y fechas especiales 💯.
¿Cómo lo pasamos? Bueno bien. Siempre pienso que no es el sitio sino con quién lo compartimos y de verdad que lo pasamos genial. En principio el sitio fue una playa que está muy de moda, pero yo les sugerí una de la cual ya había hablado en otras ocasiones y le dije que era más económica, tranquila, limpia, había estacionamiento, atención de los restaurantes, en fin, fueron tantos puntos a favor que decidimos esta segunda playa y estuvo bien.
The only thing was that I had never celebrated birthdays on the beach before and the fact that I had to bring a cake, the sand, the lack of ice, seemed to me to be points against it, but in reality, everything went very well and even the tables next to me also had their birthdays, so that calmed me down and it was even a very interesting topic of conversation for what we were experiencing.
One anecdote is that there were 6 of us, three of us are doctors (with doctorates) and two with master's degrees, that is to say, a meeting of academic stature that I can't even tell you about. Well, at certain times we had common conversations and at others the language was more professional; for my part, the only thing I did was to bathe, I looked like a little mermaid, my hair didn't even last for the photos 🤣, I hardly ever go to the beach, when I do, I have to take advantage ha,ha,ha,ha and without taking into account that the waves were strong, I bathed as much as I could 💯.
In the end we said goodbye, spent a different day, talked, caught up with each other as always, ate cake and promised to meet again, as I said, for the next celebrations.

Lo único que yo no había celebrado cumpleaños en la playa y eso de llevar torta, la arena, la falta de hielo, me parecían puntos en contra pero en realidad, todo estuvo muy bien e incluso, las mesas de al lado también tenían sus cumpleaños así que eso me tranquilizó y hasta fue un tema de conversación muy interesante para lo que estábamos viviendo.
Una anécdota es que éramos 6 personas, tres son doctores (con doctorados) y dos con magister, es decir, una reunión de altura académica que ni les cuento. Bueno, en ciertos momentos teníamos conversaciones comunes y en otrasel lenguaje fue más profesional; por mi parte, lo único que hice fe bañarme, parecía una sirenita, el cabello no me duró ni para las fotos 🤣, es que si casi nunca voy a la playa, cuando lo hago, debo aprovechar ja,ja,ja y sin tomar en cuenta que el oleaje estaba fuerte, yo me bañé lo más que pude 💯.
Al final nos despedimos, pasamos un día diferente, hablamos, nos pusimos al día como siempre suele suceder, comimos torta y quedamos con la promesa de reencontrarnos nuevamente, como dije, para las próximas celebraciones.
