Grenada... There are too many memories and mixed feelings what we lived there, especially for me. This was one of the Spanish cities that I was able to explore the most, and we were there for three days and two nights. There were several musical presentations, walks, Sierra Nevada, the Alhambra, my album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran 😅 and this concert, the longest of the whole tour and where we shared the stage with another choral group. It is not our favorite concert of our tour, but it was as unforgettable as all the others.
Granada... Son demasiados recuerdos y sentimientos encontrados lo que vivimos allá, especialmente para mí. Esta fue una de las ciudades españolas que más pude explorar, y es que estuvimos allá tres días y dos noches. Hubo varias presentaciones musicales, paseos, Sierra Nevada, la Alhambra, mi disco de Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran 😅 y este concierto, el más largo de toda la gira y donde compartimos tarima con otra agrupación coral. No es nuestro concierto favorito de nuestra gira, pero vaya que fue tan inolvidable como todos los demás.
This concert took place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, almost a year ago. It was in the Manuel de Falla auditorium, a very elegant place for music, large hall, a side organ on the stage and dreamy chandeliers. The acoustics were perfect and as I mentioned before, we shared the stage with the youth choir of Granada. Our accompanying pianist is from this city, and as the organizer of our tour in Spain, he made sure that our presence in Granada was very special.
Este concierto se llevó a cabo el Sábado 23 de Marzo de 2024, hace casi un año ya. Fue en el auditorio Manuel de Falla, un lugar con mucha elegancia para la música, sala grande, un órgano lateral en el escenario y lámparas de ensueño. La acústica era perfecta y como les mencioné antes, compartimos escenario con el coro juvenil de Granada. Nuestro pianista acompañante es de esta ciudad, y como organizador de nuestra gira en España, él se encargo de que nuestra presencia en Granada fuera muy especial.
In this city we sang almost all the repertoire we took to Spain. The programmed pieces of our choir, a set of music that we studied exclusively to sing with the choir there and all the repertoire that was with our pianist. Maybe that is why the boys remember it as one of the most tiring events, and it is that standing for so many hours is not very nice, but it was worth it, so far we do not know if that was the only time we would perform in that city, so we had to give 100% as always.
En esta ciudad cantamos casi todo el repertorio que llevamos a España. Las piezas programadas de nuestra coral, un conjunto de música que estudiamos exclusivamente para cantar con el coro de allá y todo el repertorio que era con nuestro pianista. Quizás por eso los muchachos lo recuerdan como uno de los eventos más cansones, y es que estar de pie por tantas horas no es muy bonito, pero valió la pena, hasta ahora no sabemos si esa fue la única vez que nos presentaríamos en esa ciudad, así que había que dar el 100% como siempre.
The music you can hear in this video is amazing and one of my favorites since I have been in this choral group. It is very powerful, surprising and with moments of impact for the audience. This was the only city where my wife did not sing, she was sick, but at least she took good pictures that I can share with you today. The Granada audience was one of the most euphoric, so they helped us to carry this concert successfully to the end. I also remember that this room was very warm, something that benefited our sound. Esta fue la única ciudad donde mi esposa no cantó, estaba enferma, pero al menos tomó buenas fotografías que hoy puedo compartir con ustedes. El público de Granada fue uno de los más eufóricos, así que ellos nos ayudaron a llevar este concierto con éxito hasta el final. También recuerdo que esta sala era muy calentita, algo que benefició a nuestro sonido.
