Hello there , my lovely Hivers! Today's blog , I want to share a Christmas Eve memory that I will forever cherish. It was such a joyous moment for me because, it was my first time that my whole family was enjoying Christmas.
We decided to celebrate Christmas with my mother’s family. Usually, we cook and celebrate in our own homes, but this time, I was so happy that we joined together as one big family it was less hassle for my parents. I loved the idea because it made everyone happy, and it also stopped my parents from arguing during Christmas Eve.
The Celebration
At 12 midnight, we all sat around the table to eat together. The table was full of delicious food because everyone helped by giving money to have a big celebration. They all chipped in because their mother told them to do it so their sister, who works abroad, would be happy, because every Christmas, their sister who worked abroad usually pays for everything. So my moms siblings gave 1,000, 2,0000 so that my grandma would be happy too. It was a great idea because we had so much food and didn’t have to spend too much.
I filled my plate with food and tried everything. The food was so delicious, We had crispy pata, shrimp, adobo, fried chicken, sisig, ham, and desserts.
I even took selfies with the food on the table because no one took pictures of me.
Before eating, we took a group photo to keep as a memory of this happy day.
Games and Prizes
After eating, my uncle decided to create a games for the kids and a raffle for the adults. This made the night even more special. Last year, we only did games on New Year’s Eve, so doing this for Christmas was exciting and new.
The kids’ prizes were candies like lollipops, ring candies, Barbie dolls, crispy choco balls, and bubbles.
The raffle prizes for the adults included two stoves, tumblers, neck pillows, and cash.
Everyone was excited, the house filled with so much happiness. My nephews even danced to win candies, and two of my cutie niece won the main prizes. They receive prices, and they were so happy. They stayed awake until midnight, waiting for the games to start.
Even though I was so full, I couldn’t resist trying some of the candies because the packaging of the candies is tempting me. The ring candy and the chocolate that looked like an eye, I tried them, and they were delicious.
A Night to Cherish
After the raffles and games when everyone got something, even if it was just ₱100. Seeing everyone happy made my heart so full.
This Christmas Eve will be forever cherish of me, because for the first time my parents wasn't arguing and this christmas eve was just full of laughter and joy.
