Hello, Hivers! It's me again, Jenie. For today's blog., I want to share with you how I spent my 33rd birthday with a simple celebration. 23rd of January is my birthday.. 1992 babies, I'm happy that I'm still surviving the world's struggles, another +1 God gave me. On January 23, I didn't expect to be surprised by my husband with flowers. And as a mom, we often say that we wouldn't want them to buy flowers because they're too expensive. But thank you!

For lunch, my coworkers also bought me a cake, and they cooked a little something for us to share and eat at the office along with our OJTs. Even if there's no celebration, it's okay as long as I'm healthy. But I can honestly say that my coworkers care about me. Thank you, guys! I was so happy, especially during the meal, my family, Jeffrey and Jepoy, were there.

In the afternoon, my family and I went to church to thank God for the blessings we have received. And for the gift of life. Jepoy asked me, 'What is your wish, Ma?' I replied, 'I don't know, but I wish good health for all of us, including our family in Negros.

After we finished attending mass, we headed to chowking for dinner. As we settled at our table, I couldn't help but notice a family at the following table, gathered together to celebrate a beautiful occasion. They had brought a cake, their faces glowing with joy as they marked the anniversary of their parents. It was such a heartwarming sight, seeing a family come together in love and gratitude, sharing a special moment that filled the air with warmth and celebration.

My birthday celebration wasn't over yet because Jeffrey, my husband, wanted to go on a trip with the three of us. We decided to go to the mountains, and Hidden Valley Mountain Resort was the perfect place because it was peaceful. So, I booked an overnight stay for the three of us. On January 25, 2025, we checked in on Saturday to check out on Sunday afternoon. The Hidden Valley Resort is really lovely, with a great ambiance. I thought they only had a wave pool, but they have a lot of swimming pools, and both kids and adults can enjoy it.

When we arrived there, I chose the all-access pass for all their swimming pools, hoping that Jepoy would be fully satisfied and get the most out of the experience. I wanted him to be able to explore and enjoy every pool to his heart’s content, letting him dive into each one and savor the joy of each refreshing dip. It felt like the perfect way to give him a day filled with excitement and happiness, surrounded by the beauty of the place.they escorted us to our room, and then Jepoy quickly changed to go for a swim. He was so excited! I could see the joy on his face as he saw the different types of swimming pools. The first one we went to was the wave pool down below.

After that, we made our way to the second pool. It was beautiful, peaceful, and serene., just the three of us. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The soothing sounds of birds singing in the background made it even more relaxing.. It was a perfect moment to unwind and appreciate the calmness around us.

After spending around two hours enjoying the refreshing swim, Jepoy, with a thoughtful look, turned to me and said, 'Let's take a break; we still have so much time left to swim. Let's return to the room and have something to eat because I'm getting hungry.' I felt relief, as he suggested, and I was grateful he was agreeable. It was a small moment of understanding where we decided to rest and recharge, knowing we could always return to the pool later, basking in the serene atmosphere whenever we felt ready. I was thankful for his willingness to go with the flow.

We didn’t go back for another swim. Instead, we just relaxed in the room after dinner. We stayed there until both of them eventually fell asleep. I felt so happy watching Jepoy, seeing him so content and peaceful as he drifted to sleep. It was such a beautiful sight. But whenever we go on a trip, the hardest part is always when it’s time to go home especially with my child. He never wants to leave.
    Haha!

We woke up early to visit all the swimming pools. First, we had breakfast, then quickly changed into our swimwear to start swimming. We each took turns exploring the different pools

What made it even more special was that we were almost alone, with no other guests around, allowing us to immerse ourselves fully in the tranquility. The atmosphere was perfect. The weather was cool and comfortable., not too hot, making the experience all the more enjoyable. Around us, the landscape was beautifully landscaped with lush greenery, adding to the overall sense of calm. The vibrant plants and flowers surrounding the pool created a natural sanctuary, making us feel like we were in a hidden paradise.

Every moment spent there felt like a peaceful escape, where time seemed to slow down, and we could savor the beauty of nature while swimming in such a fantastic setting.
