Reflecting on My Communication Skills After Hosting a Metaverse Beginner Tour / メタバース初心者ツアーを終えて、自分の説明力について考える[ENG/JPN]

in voilk •  yesterday

I recently hosted a beginner tour in Decentraland for people new to the metaverse. I'm glad we could hold these tours consecutively in November and December.

This time, we visited Exodus and tried out a quest where participants could earn Christmas-themed skins.

Since they took the time to join the tour, I thought it would be more fun for them to actively participate—interacting with the environment and experiencing the process of receiving an airdrop, rather than just listening to explanations.

In Exodus, participants chopped down trees with an axe. While chopping, snowflakes would drop, which they collected. These snowflakes could then be exchanged for tickets, and the tickets were used to claim a Christmas-themed skin.

There were quite a few steps involved in earning the airdrop, and I was worried about whether I explained everything clearly. However, I feel the participants enjoyed the experience to some extent.

I still lack confidence in my ability to explain things and communicate effectively. Even so, I want to continue hosting beginner tours and do my best to answer participants' questions in the future.
